T6.1 Dashboard - Modification Options

Hey All

After a bit of advise re the T6.1 dashboard....

I've been doing some research into options for improving the storage on the T6.1 dashboard and can't really seem to find anything. I know the T6 has a few options for lids and covers to create more hidden away tidy storage space but nothing comes up for the T6.1.

Mainly thinking about options for these two spaces....

Be nice to have one or two lids here to hide stuff away.


Be nice to have this top open space covered to create another glove box, dare I say it might even be big enough to fit the manual


At the moment the only option I can see would be to buy some Black Acrylic Perspex Sheet and Hinges and fashion something up.

Love to hear anyones thoughts and findings.

Also be great to have cup holders big enough to put a cup in!! VW flask I got for xmas has to go in the door :/

This is exactly what I'm looking for but can only find for T6

Transporter HQ EU have a kit for the LHD market which will be RHD later in the year which gives you a lid for the top glove box. Be nice to see it in person or better pictures though.

Would also be great to see something to cover the top. Like in the GFs Tiguan

That would be nice. I don't use the top bit for anything as it just slides about. Aren't even any mats or inlays for them

I had seen that on a FB page, they also do a textured one. Both sold out however the photo suggests the quality of the fit nearest to the drivers side is not very good. Possibly just poor photos so lets wait to see as I am sure someone on here has got one!
