T6.1 new order delays

I have had my order in since Dec 2020 and the ship has just arrived in Australia with my Van on it. I hope to get it for Easter so I can deck it out. Mine is a 199 4 Motion with a lot of accessories and was told that 4M have the biggest delays.

Ordered a SWB T28 2.0 TDI 110 Highline from VW Sinclair Cardiff

Ordered on 20th April 2021 with an estimated date of 31st October 2021...

Never had a provisional date.

Always same no news news from the dealer.

I sit some days looking at the vanless driveway

Great news for all of you who have recently had dates and received their vans but deep down I hate you

Did you specify lots of factory options?

Does anyone know what the letter really means?
I’ve had enough being jerked off by this greedy conglomerate..just brought a 69 plate t6 (beautiful) and saved myself quite a few quid.
VW might think to offer counselling after this debacle. #Gjonesg1
I know it’s not all their fault but the price rise scam and ghosting definitely is.

It means: "Dear natives, we realise that many of you are getting restless and, in an effort to pay lip-service to the notion of keeping you informed, we have produced this bland, pointless comms. Please be assured that, here at VW HQ [ivory] Tower, we have deliberately restricted the content of our comms to (a) the bleedin' obvious, and (b) what is already in the public domain, explicitly avoiding the controversial subject of price protection. We sincerely hope this keeps you off our back and we now consider the 'customer comms' box to be well and truly ticked."

I'm still pinching myself. Just under 7 months, and I'm picking my van up on Tuesday or Wednesday. Can't wait :grin bounce:

The dealer didn't mention price increases, but did ask if I wanted to collect it after 1st April. I declined, just in case he was going to then drop the bomb!

Just busy getting some insurance quotes at the moment. LV have quoted £142.00 fully comprehensive for the year! Easy to set up, as SWMBO's Tiguan is already with them. The premium will rise as we make modifications during its transformation into a campervan .

Picked my Kombi up today, great to be back in a van after too long struggling with a car. My wait has been just under 9 months so not too bad in comparison to others.

Good luck to all of you still waiting, I hope things improve soon.

Might be interested in letting my 2021 Ascot Grey van go - new house means realistically I’m probably not going to be able to hang on to it. Gauging interest at the moment, so posting here. Would be after £45k No VAT

Leighton Vans front chin and rear spoiler
Gloss black grill upper and lower dog bone
Leighton Roof rack
Sound deadening everywhere
Professionally carpet lined with backed suede flex on the roof, with LED lights in roof
20“ Riviera alloys

Factory options included were

Just had a call from the dealer saying I can pick the new van up tomorrow (29/3/2022).

He also confirmed that if I had opted for April 1st for collection, that he would have been asking for an extra 4%.

Paying a full month’s road tax for 2 days use has effectively saved me just over £1700.00

Really? They would have let you chose an April delivery and then gone "Aha! That's another £1700 more", rather than forewarning you? That doesn't sound like a dealer I'd want to do business with!
