I picked up my van two weeks ago (ordered end August 2021, delivered 7 April) - after end of financial year but price promised, so saved about £1300... happyNew here - if useful, I ordered a new Transporter LWB Hi Roof panel van, end Aug 2021 for delivery end Feb (confirmed last week)
That’s a bummer, I’d prob ask if I could drive away at it until repairs are arranged or replacement tail gateSo near yet so far, just had this of dealer. Tailgate damaged in transit, waiting on insurance

The orders really are all over the place, ordered my Sportline April 21, i was told by the dealer to expect it Dec 21, then March 22 now May 22 but again I'm expecting to be let down again no doubt.Ordered my Sportline SWB back in early November (2021), Just been advised its now status 10 for provisional build week 22, I'm not holding my breath but thats only 5 weeks or so away so who knows.
Oh no they don't, that call was after me sending my 5th email because no one was getting back to me.. My dealer is shocking too!At least your dealer keeps you up to date. Heard nothing from mine
I'm not trying to excuse dealers, but I feel like they balk at giving bad news and, at the moment, bad news is all that's on offer.Oh no they don't, that call was after me sending my 5th email because no one was getting back to me.. My dealer is shocking too!
I've sat their side of the desk for 16 years before a career change so I know exactly how they feel but the best sales execs should be delivering news to their customers on a consistent bases whether that's good or bad news but just to ignore a customer after a number of calls and emails is unacceptable.I'm not trying to excuse dealers, but I feel like they balk at giving bad news and, at the moment, bad news is all that's on offer.
You've got no arguments from me fella - it's certainly not the best approach.I've sat their side of the desk for 16 years before a career change so I know exactly how they feel but the best sales execs should be delivering news to their customers on a consistent bases whether that's good or bad news but just to ignore a customer after a number of calls and emails is unacceptable.
I had good conversation with the guy he admitted how tough it's been for them. I guess I was lucky exiting the industry before all these delays started. You've got no arguments from me fella - it's certainly not the best approach.
