T6.1 new order delays

Am I correct in thinking somebody has said 33 weeks for delivery?
Yeah, that’s me... and not happy at all; the 33 week is my est based on today’s news of an unconfirmed build in week 15.... maybe they’ll surprise me... but then again.

I ordered on 2nd November & later informed it was build week 51. Got a phone call last Tuesday to say it was on the ship over and when did I want to pickup. I’ve left it for March 1st as it’s going to the conversion company on the 2nd/3rd. That’s not too bad a wait and realistically I could pick it up sooner.

Is anyone on this thread clever enough to create a survey of vehicle models against order date?

I spoke to the company that are supplying my van yet again today and they still said that they simply didn't have a clue and are waiting on updates from VW.

Does anyone know if it certain models/certain extras that are the one subject to these extensive delays? If so, what extras and models are a problem?

(I think this is a p**s in the wind to try to shed some light on when I can expect my van, as if the supplier doesn't know I guess nobody here will have a clue either! JUST SO FRUSTRATED!)

The 33 week thing being mentioned on here makes me hollow inside! :(

I'm seeing a number of vehicles coming through on this thread that were ordered in September and I'm reaching the point that if I have to wait another 13 weeks or so I shall cancel my order and buy a transit!

Caravelle Exec 199/204 4wd ordered 10th Sept, still no build date or expected arrival. Getting a bit impatient, quoted 16 to 20 weeks at order.

Same here. Kombi 199/204 LWB 4m ordered 22 sep still no news on build dates etc. Could we be caught up in engine change delays? 199 to new 204? It's the waiting and not knowing that is so frustrating. At least the salt might have gone from the roads before it arrives!

From this sample of 3, it looks like it might be the 4 motion causing our delays...

I ordered in the middle of September for a 199 kombi (not 4motion) and just been told to expect delivery in May. I have every option ticked on mine. Dsg is maybe the common item/199 engine

8 months ou

8 months , I couldn’t wait that long

Ordered mine start of October. 150 highline manual lwb, quite a few extras. No build or delivery date as yet. Wouldn’t mind the wait if I had something to go by. Only good thing is that I will probably be getting the new reg in March .

Looks like its the 199/204 engine to me.

Doesn’t appear to be any pattern to which model is being delayed the longest as far as I can see. Bloody annoying !,

I ordered (with a third party) August 14th. I'm not sure exactly when the order went to VW but mines a T30, 150 DSG with several extras. Looks like huge delays across the board but VW clearly aren't informing customers... Perhaps there are too many combinations to accurately predict a build and delivery time.

Could be supply chain parts issues, with lockdowns affecting so many different countries at different times.

It seems that DSG is the only thing that all of these delayed vehicles have in common?
