T6.1 new order delays

@Vodders
What!!! You have to pay extra to have the window wiper & washer system!
I hope not, because I didn’t include that.
I ordered a Kombi Highline with tailgate and presumed it was standard equipment.
It’s coming up to fifteen months since I placed my order and still no build date. I daren’t add wash & wipe now, I may get put to the back of the queue or even worse, loose my price protection!!!
I’ll have to check.
Pretty sure it’s standard equipment on the Kombi. You have to delete it if you don’t want it. Mines just turned up with a washer and a wiper FOC anyway. (I forget about the other £36k)

I was told by my VWVC two weeks after I ordered..when was it now...oh yes March '21, that if I wanted to change any of the spec I would be back of the queue so have resisted changing anything for a speedy delivery!!

Interesting. My response to @Richie L was based on what I was told by my dealer, but that obviously conflicts with what you've been told.

I too have resisted changing my order (just in case!), so the truth remains a "known unknown" (as Donald Rumsfeld might have phrased it).

Current price list says tailgate with heated rear window is FOC option on PV and Kombi, but if you want a wash wipe, it’s £180 for PV’s.

As we all know, there is no consistency in the #vwvanlottery!

I changed my order in November and didn’t lose place in queue or price protection. I’m not even sure I paid for the extras! Delivered in February.

My order has been processed and I've been given a build date of week 35. So it'll be a September van. I believe the dealer didn't have any allocation in October 2021 when I ordered it as he's only just asked a few spec questions that I raised in November! I hope they don't want to charge me any extra.

That seems like progress, what spec van was it. Maybe it’s only me but there does seem to be some movement for a handful of folks waiting recently.

4motion ,150 hp , PV highline with leds, difflock, swivels, latching doors, solid tailgate etc. He's only just informed me I need to order a rear rubber mat and side step extension @260£ even though it brought this up on my configurator when I spec'd it.¯\_(ツ)_/¯

You’ll forget all the pain you got through. You’ll have a big smile on your face when you see it. ENJOY!!

Well ours has finally arrived! A little over 13 Months since ordering. Currently with Oli @BognorMotors who is doing a few modifications prior to collection on Friday after a plane, train and automobile ride from Newcastle!

Silver lining is that I managed to get it at the original price, Oli and the Vw Dealer said I was extremely lucky and the only case they have seen but after a bit back and forth with VW customer service they honoured the price protection!

Standard Panel van at the moment but once Oli is finished and we have fitted a mountain of parts I have accumulated should be a different van!

Took around 4 weeks from being built to dealer for those who have been asking lately.

I had a status 10 in January, dropped the factory fitted tow bar, 2 weeks later had a status 20 of week 19 build. Confirmed with dealer yesterday all still good to start build next Monday as has a commission to build on order… whatever that means
