T6.1 new order delays

UPDATE!!!!!

My van arrived at the dealership yesterday at 16:00hrs. I have just electronically signed the documents and I hope to be taking delivery of my new van by this weekend. I can't recommend Martin at SMG Tonbridge enough! I have also been told that my T32 T6.1 SWB 4Motion 150PS 6 speed manual is the last one VW has built. You can no longer order the 4Motion in a manual! To say I am ecstatic is an understatement as I also ticked almost everything on the options list! For those of you still waiting, be patient, I have had to wait for almost a year but I do NOT regret waiting for my van! It has made me appreciate the buying process a lot more. :)

I will post photos once I have the van.....

I have just had an update from AutoeBid

I have received an update from the dealer and your order is currently not showing a confirmed build week. I will continue to monitor this and update you when I receive more news.

Only the 9.5months since I ordered.....

I ordered October 2021 still not heard anything or an update.

If you're frustrated after 11 months, just wait until you're 16 months in and you're informed your first provisional build week is still 3 months away.
Imagine ordering over a year ago and don’t even have a provisional build date yet

It looks like June 21 seems to be where the orders are coming from . Let’s hope these orders keep coming , it does look to be moving faster just hope us all in the 14+ month club get some good news

We never had a provisional, just a confirmed build 4 weeks ago so 13 months with no news.

@Bav I hope (as you must) that it’s not too much longer for yours

UPDATE!!!!

Just had a message from the salesman at the dealership that the trader buying my S3 is not willing to pay the agreed £16K and is only offering £15K. I had signed the finance papers yesterday which, the salesman says, has not been actioned. I did ask about VW offering to purchase my car at the agreed upon £16K in November 2021 but due to delays obviously this has impacted in the value of the S3. I was also charged an extra £800 due to price increase this year 2022 which, I agreed to pay in order to keep my order. I have been asked if I can pay them the £1000 shortfall which, I am not in a position to do.
I did ask to clarify if this means unless they can get the £1000 shortfall, then they do not have to sell me the van. I was told this is correct, they do not have to sell the van to me.
I am very disappointed that after waiting almost a year, agreeing to the price increase and being in constant communication with the dealership, they did not point out that if the person they are selling my car on to, the shortfall falls on me. The paperwork issued to me stated that VW agree to offer me £16K. There was nothing about my car being sold on, even though I know this would obviously happen.
I am now concerned that I will lose my order to someone who is willing to pay the asking price of my van....?

That’s horrible and pretty much sums up how VW are dealing with there customers just now . Surly there is some play in that price ( £1000 shortfall) . What were you quoted for delivery time in any email etc , that’s down to VW if they quoted you 9 months you might be able to argue on that basis . Shocking behaviour but expect it from VW now to be honest considering how bad there new van process is

Ar*eholes

What are webuyanycar, motorway and the like offering for your car? Might be able to sell to them for nearer the 16k you were given by the dealer.
