T6.1 new order delays

Still waiting ..almost twenty months gone now ,I’ve noticed in the last few weeks prices have increased again
What spec have you ordered?

I reckon the second hand market is slowing abit though , seen a few vans sticking around on the trader that I’m surprised haven’t already been snapped up.

Mine ordered July 22. It will be ready for collection September 2023

I work for a leasing company and whatever lead time any manufacturer gives you at the moment, is an absolute stab in the dark and you really don’t have a bloody clue when anything will arrive. Lol

Absolute nightmare.

Not a VW but my cousin ordered a brand new BMW X3 in Jan23, told it will be delivered May23, then June23, then told Jul 2024, next year! So they cancelled and bought a second hand car.

Meanwhile the dealer is rubbing his hands together as he has a 'genuine' cancelled order - the manufacturers won't let the dealers put 'stock' orders in so a cancelled order is gold to a dealership!! Guaranteed stock (unsold) arriving - stock availability being their biggest challenge your cousin has landed them a nice one!!

I wouldn't be surprised if there are cousins of car dealers themselves placing orders then having their circumstances mysteriously change so the dealer has to mop up the stock!!!

AKA 'situation normal' (well, the new normal anyways)

It would be much easier to list what I didn’t order! I’ve been told today 6 weeks to pickup date

Long time lurker of this thread as I awaited my van being built, so thought I'd sign up to update and add to the chorus of people finally getting theirs delivered- seems they are slowly coming in!

Order placed 12th July (a year ago today!) and van was in the country as of a couple of weeks ago, picked up Friday just gone so just shy of a year all in all. Very happy with that considering some people's waits!

Black LWB T32 twin slider panel van, Highline DSG 204 tailgate with pretty much every option ticked other than windows, towbar stuff and 4motion (which from what I gather is holding up a LOT of builds so again lucky there).

Keep the faith folks, they are coming in!

Spoke to my dealer yesterday, apparently all T6.1 will be built by Q2 2024 so may be an end in sight for some. I'm waiting for a Sportline Kombi so probably 12 weeks after that for Sportline conversion!
