T6.1 new order delays

VW chat seemed to think it was still in Emden waiting for a ship on Sunday.

Mine will go into Sheerness as the dealer is in Bristol, and they seem to have a ship which simply sails between the Emden and Sheerness every two days.

Another run arrived in Sheerness at lunchtime today, so hopefully may be in that one. Will probably have a chat with the dealer over next couple of days once the system had time to update after offloading, to see if it was and what he knows.

Mine has been in Grimsby since last week. Dealer called me today to let me know it’s had transport booked to them so should hopefully see it at the end of this week

Do you know if yours left the factory on 26th February cos if so mine will probably be in Grimsby now.

We have everything crossed with the hope the VW will allocate more production slots for the UK market to move all the orders sooner.

All of our vehicles on order (presently 30+ vehicles) pretty much have an indication of build time or arrival at the dealer, bar the Caravelles. These has no date or status, although VW say their build schedule is on track.

So had the dealer email this today. Due to the 199 being updated to the 204ps they want me to pay for the upgraded suspension at £282 think bit cheeky said it’s to do with the 204ps weighing more. Cant understand why tho

I saw one M25 N bound 30 to 29 at 10 today looked like panel vans 3 fortana red and one grey wasn’t quick enough to see the rest

Tell them that you ordered a 199 at the time of deposit so it is there mistake.

Agreed - they’ve changed the engine spec not you, so my view would be that VW need to suck up the £282 and just get on with building it for you

Paid £500 deposit. Did say can’t your manager swallow the hit. Said he will get back to me tomorrow. I did say would I get my refund if I decide to cancel my order and he said i would with out any issues.

Tell them that you ordered a 199 at the time of deposit so it is there mistake.

I did unfortunately they are saying as a dealer is not there fault. But the fault isn’t mine either

I am sure they are making a shed load from you anyway we all know in good times we can buy from 3rd parties better than vwvc's anyway thats the customer price 282. If its just springs, they will have the 199 springs for spares so I cant see 282 on top of the original springs cost is justified. No doubt you are like me sitting with a set of Bilsteins in the garage ready. (or Eibach's). You sould maybe ask the dealer what the difference is in the cost of the two alternative springs.

Thinking about it next we'll all be asked to pay extra for a 204 engine too

Tbf they have given me a good 18% discount and unfortunately he was quick to remind me of that today when I rang him. I said I’m unhappy to pay as I’m going straight to @BognorMotors for new suspension any way. Basically Iv got a T30 and I think it will be T32 springs out on instead.

All depends on what options and vehicle spec you have got on order if it’s pushing you over the weight limit
