Hi mumbles, I placed it 3rd December , my dealer told me about six months for delivery but I knew that could change. he has been great trying to keep me updated.

And hoping all you folk still in this black hole don’t wait too much longer...

Just had unconfirmed build week 39 notification from Norwich VWVC.

Taken just under 4 weeks to get this.

He initially said September/October, so in that respect he's not far out....but then again this is #TNVWVDL!! :grin bounce:

So, finally broke and rang the dealer today to find out what's happening with my Kombi.
I'm 12 weeks from order and I've been given a provisional build of week 36, which is September 6th... Providing the above date is correct, (likely to change quite a bit before then apparently) then it would be in the system around 29 weeks from order to build. Add on top shipping etc and I'm looking at October at best. Bit of pita as my first order was August 14th 2021... This whole process is supposed to be exciting but I'm losing interest as I feel no closer than I did last summer.

I feel for you but that doesn’t look bad in the current environment. I have an order placed last November for a kombi and have no provisional build week yet. I am with you that this should be a lot more fun and aspirational. At the moment I don’t see the end of these troubles personally and share your frustrations. I have paid three deposits and ordered three vans since Sept and still don’t have one. One canceled. One built and waiting for a boat and one no build week. Ironically the one waiting for the boat is the most recent contract. #TheNationalVWVanDealerLottery

It is certainly a lottery! It would be nice if they were a little more upfront regarding which options, if any, have longer lead times. I ticked a pile of options, so it could be put back further.
Dealer put July as delivery on order form. Wishful thinking..

At least the delay allows further thoughts on how I want the van to look. Changing my mind by the day though

5th of jan i ordered mine and waiting on the date, Dealer did say not giving any discounts now and trade in values have gone up a lot, hoping to get a build date next week

Now up to Page 67, has anybody checked that VW UK are not breaching Trading Standards by taking peoples money and not delivering the goods?

you can always cancel and get refund if you dont like delay i guess

Unfortunately with Covid and chip shortages vehicle manufacturers are struggling to deliver. VW aren’t the only ones Ford are pulsing production due to chip problems so second hand prices will continue to rise. I’ve put down the deposit on a black edition a few weeks ago with a delivery date for the end of December.

Dealer did say that the whole UK allocation has been used up until around March next year. If you are ordering now you are in for a huge wait.

Also mentioned less incentives for new purchases as sales have been so strong.

Just want to say a big thumbs up for auto ebid, ordered a manual T30 150 Highline end of Jan, requested June delivery as going to converter in July, it’s being delivered early on 5th May, good spec, LEDs, Nav, rear heating, reversing camera etc etc, 18% discount, £32.7k incl vat, very happy with service and price, check them out !
