T6.1 new order delays

I’ve read so many reasons for delays. Semi conductors, DSG boxes, kombi or PV, 150 or 199, whether your dealer had allocation (how does that work if no parts?), electric tailgate, TPMS, tow bar, right side slider and of course COVID.
I’m trying to be patient!! Just wish my dealer or even the factory could update everyone.

Same here, I am trying to be patient but I have small outbursts of frustration every now and again with the 8 month wait still left.

Its a Kombi.. "T32 Kombi Highline LWB 204PS 2.0TDI 7-speed DSG 4MOTION in Pure Grey" from the order form. I'm just on the chat to VW now, they are trying to add my vehicle to the MyVehicles section on the VW webpage.. interestingly they tell me there is no confrimed build date yet

I ordered mine mid Feb, “T32 Kombi Highline SWB 150 DSG” with extras. The order said 20 weeks, since then it first went back to 24 weeks and just been informed it has gone back again to 29 weeks. (Oct build) This is still an estimated build slot. The dealer is great at keeping me informed, just that my heart sinks every time he calls. Fingers crossed it comes this year.

New Van day -
exactly 3 months from Order to Delivery so it shows VW can do it if they put their mind to it (this was after my November order through a broker was cancelled in Feb)

Not sure if interest to anyone, but there may be a possibility of a new T6.1, T32, indium grey, twin slider, 204ps, heated seats, front swivels, led lights, app connect, discover media, rear camera, tow bar, tail gate with window, 2+1 rear seats, power latching side doors which has arrived at dealer, however I’ve already sourced a vehicle back in March so either pass on it or maybe is there a market in buying selling pm if needing further details

Does anyone know how I get my van order added to my VW for tracking? My dealer isn't telling me much, and VW chat just said once the order is accepted by the factory they can't give me any more updates and I need to speak to dealer.

do you have your order number? I think you probably got a lazy VW chat agent. They absolutely can give you updates all they way along the process. Unless there has been a change of policy by VW? Unfortunately you can’t track commercial vehicles via My VW.

From my recent experience, VW chat were happy to give me weekly status updates (provisional build week/confirmed build week/built/awaiting shipping etc) provided I gave them the 8 digit order number.

Yep, they always have been able to. But just be warned, that VW chat info is not as up to date as what the dealer can see directly via their own systems. My experience was that VW chat were always at least 2-3 days behind or more. Seems to be due to dealers being able to see live factory data, whereas VW chat get a weekly download

Funnily enough, I was told the same last week. I wonder if the Chat staff are getting fed up with the agro?
