T6.1 new order delays

I don’t think so. They’d been super helpful till then. To the point of telling me to check back with them every week or so. Think it must be a policy shift from Vw.

Thinking about it - the last update I got 3 weeks ago just said " speak to the dealer " so maybe there has been a change of approach - not helpful when you have people waiting months for their van and the dealer isn't giving them any info!

Clearly a policy shift then. Always seemed a bit daft that they didn’t have the most up to date info anyway. So with recent factory chaos, probably the easiest option for them.....but of course does need dealers to play ball now

The trick is to give your 8 digit order number usually beginning with "3"

VW chat will come back and say check with your dealer as they don't have a confirmed date.
They always ask" is there anything else we can help with?'
Then say, yes please can I have the provisional build date to which you will get the answer.
haven't got as far as being confirmed yet so can't help beyond that!

New member here, posting to add some good news to a thread that it seems has been mainly bad for some time!
I ordered my PV through Swiss Vans in January and it was delivered on Friday. Great service and only a couple of weeks later than originally planned, despite some yoyo’ing of the build date. Off to be converted in June, we’re properly excited now!
To those still waiting, keep your fingers crossed and you may get a surprise (hopefully a pleasant one...!)
That is brilliant news! I've ordered a black edition kombi sportline with them but no build date as yet... hopefully my experience with swiss vans will be the same..

If anyone has ordered a new 6.1 through Heritage Automotive in Bristol, a transporter arrived with a load this morning while I was there.

Glad to see people's vans are comming through, I thought I would pop my head in and see how things are going, had mine now since 13th April and the long wait seems to have become a distant memory. I've been busy on mods, just waiting for the blind pods from Vanshades and the leather to be completed and I will stop for a while. :)IMG_3277b.JPGIMG_3154.JPG

Finally confirmed. Kombi built and on route to Port of exit. Might see it by end of month, which would make it an 11 month delivery. Hoping for great things LWB, 4M, DSG, 204, twin slider, with a few bit and bobs added. Will be worth the wait, just need to get it soundproofed, insulated, bed, and we’re off.
I’m in Portsmouth and interested to take your recommendations for carrying out the work. I’ve looked at Wessex, Co Trim, Action Van or HVR Customs.

Ours might be on the truck/boat together!
Also confirmed today as on way to the port - dealer thought it could be in the UK next week (which surprised me).
Ascot grey SWB Panel Van - manual, with a few extras.
Have to say - feel quite lucky and very happy with the process/dealer, and very shocked at just how quickly it all came together for us. Order placed on 16th March, so might end up being one of the fastest deliveries this year given some of the horror stories I have seen on this thread. Fully expected delivery next year, but looks like I might get it in time for summer

I started a thread elsewhere asking this, but has anyone who's received their new van recently, noticed any changes in the spec, different to what they ordered?

Hi Yeah just that I ordered the all season tyres advertised as 235/55 & it rocked up on 215/60's.
I queried the salesman who checked the orders and agreed that my order to them and the acknowledged order from VW didn't match and he said he'd look into it....
News received so far is ZERO.
