T6.1 Retrofit Heated Windscreen??

Anyone can be an idiot, not everyone's decent enough to admit it!
Haha you live and you learn!! I'm delighted I have it in the end though. I also have electric mirrors I wasn't expecting and rain sensors. Thought they were an optional extra. Heated seats are my only regret .... but I drive a lot at night and I'm often very tired by the time I'm home. I figured heated seats would just put me to sleep

I honestly thought it it wasn't in the main line of buttons it wasn't there.... it's like street magic or something, I probably looked straight at it loads of times

I get it now, it's like waking up from the matrix or something :p
Thanks for all the help even though it was completely pointless in the end haha
I am, as they say, a big eejit.
More power to you for being able to laugh at yourself and share it! Good result all the same!

Can anybody tell me if the timer delay for the heated windscreen is in the switch?, some retro kits on the market are supplied with a timer relay, but VW wiring diagram does not show any timer relay. My car has a heated screen and only stays on until windscreen de-ices and then switches off.

It's a set timer AFAIK.

Not in the switch... But the main BCM.

I've not double checked the schematic yet .... But that springs to mind.

And from memory the heated screen is split into two Half's,

Each half is fed from a 40A fuse in the engine bay SB fusebox.

Schematics are available to download for VIP members.

Honestly - why they put the button there - its not visible from the Drivers Seat - Steering Wheel in the way... there is plenty of other position options..

I knew mine was there ... but still find it difficult to find.....
