just spoke to west Yorkshire van centre who confirmed my van is in for build this week
Delivery hopefully mid october

Yay.

My van is at Grimsby port. It should be with Greenhous vw within the next few days. They have already organised the Chipsaway graphics and rear fit out for me so I should have it with a couple of weeks.

Boom I can have a quicker van again as this spare leese van is so slow and boring.

i just called vwc customer sevice when i wanted to check on what my rep was telling me.

just got of phone to him and he says there are a lot of vans building up in docks at Germany waiting for ships, ( he has a phew there) but once they get to there uk there being delivered fast

Been told it is half way through build and has a chassis number ,which I can't quite believe .there not going to park it up while some more parts turn up .

Apparently a few of the usual ships have sprung leaks. The vans with the extra door seal option ticked are getting over ok

I phoned customer service ,who then phoned brand support ,who said it would be built by the end of the week and should be at van centre mid October .
What's the point of giving me a build week then build it 3 weeks later .

I have to agree @carlg ! some more vw stories! well lets hope it is for you mate you have waited long enough now!

will be interesting to see if any of us week 38 guys get them build

I was given week 35 for build a while back and it seems my van was built that week. Latest I heard (Saturday) was that it had made it to the UK (Grimsby) and would be travelling to dealer within about 7 days of arrival in the UK - finally seems to be getting closer - yay!!!
