Looking to pick up a second hand T6 Transporter to convert into a camper while also towing, so will be pushing the GVM limits of the van.
There's a really nice TDI250 near me I'm interested in, but I'm worried that it really won't have the power to do what I need it to and ill regret not getting a higher spec engine... so I'd like to research what the physical part differences are between the TDI250 / TDI340.
From googling for parts, all T6 transporters use the same Delphi 28565339 Diesel Injector, but turbo changes a few times through the years.
I believe for 2015/2016 the TDI250 (85kW) and TDI340 (110kW) both use a 830323-5006S, the TDI400 (132kW) uses 10009930098, and the TDI450 (150kW) has a 16359880018 bi-turbo.
So Turbos if are the same, Injectors are the same, is it just a matter of doing a reprogram/tune to go from a TDI250 to TDI340? Tried searching for tuning houses and got mixed results which I don't really trust. Anybody able to help?
