Does anyone who is coming to the summer camp have The Ply Guys ‘installed’ in their van? Economics is causing us to reassess the full conversion plans to create a more ‘day van’ setup in our SWB Kombi. We’re currently considering the Torridon plus the Clachan side unit. Thanks in advance.

When it says dogs must be exercised away from the general camping area do they just mean to do their business. Its ok to take the dog where ever we want isn't it? As long as on lead, or carried haha. May be a silly question. It's just we have a very small dog and she just comes everywhere we go. Daughter wants to come but will have to bring the dog if she does as she usually dogs sits lol but if it gets too hot, the dog and daughter will have to stay home lol

I dont think it will be a problem as long as you tidy up after them etc
I think the rules are for general purposes and ordinarily you would be in a field with unknown people who may or may not care about your dog wandering around

Trying to get my booking amended to Sat and Sun night but only getting several emails from them asking for the security deposit...

Is this normal asking for a security deposit as I’ve never been asked for this before on any rally or site booking.
I have given the site my details though.

John.

I have just checked, I've booked and paid in full, but I have not received the deposit required email. :speechless:

Yeah, got my 2nd one today. Don't really want to leave credit card details on their website. Will call them tomorrow and pay the damn fee.

I've not had anything as yet but del paid my fee so that may be why. Not sure how this works. How can they claim costs once you've left without you being there? Do you have to ask them to check over your pitch before you leave? Seems a bit odd and never heard of this before in many years of camping.

Agree maybe a new site for next year but finding one to take 50 odd vans with exclusive use is going to be difficult.

I've just paid my security deposit by credit card, as they recommended, and noted at the end I "authorise Brook Meadows to make payments in the future"......

Not particularly happy about that.....

They've been pretty relaxed regarding dog rules in previous years so don't think you'll have any issues.

I think with advance notice and closing the correct site it will be ok. I don't think we have exclusive use of this site. Don't forget there are the fishing areas and huts etc.

Bringing two Jack Russells and they have paid the £50 security deposit (what clever dogs!). Understand this usually makes any potential idiots think twice before spoiling everyone else’s weekend.
Spent this weekend adding new decals, vw wheel centre caps, electric checks, fluid top ups, cleaning inside and out, and updating our “Things to take” list (Thanks for all other suggestions).

We also have an Instagram page if anyone would like to be added / followed.
It’s vw_t6_campari
Would be good to keep in touch with any new dubbers. As this is all new to us (this weekend will be our first weekend away in the camper) we need some VW interaction to add to our Instagram page.
