Another job off the list, finished fitting my 2000w inverter!

500w heat gun pulling 40 amps or so. The inverter pulls 1a on standby.

Also added a USB GPS to the Cerbo GX and ran an extra ethernet cable to where my touch 50 and 5g router will eventually live.

That's (hopefully!) the very last time I'll need to remove the passenger seat! It's been a very sweaty day!!
How did you route your cables behind the inverter? I don't seem to have enough space between the rear corner of the battery and the side of the base to safely get the cables through.

With great difficulty!!

This pic maybe shows it the best

The terminals on the inverter are right angle ones, the cables then loop from there along the outside back under the inverter mounting bracket, which has various holes in it - they then loop back again and enter the seat base at the bottom left, positive going to my fused busbar and negative to the busbar. With the mount and the factory connectors between the inverter and battery, that's enough room for the 50mm² cable to sit there.

I did have to modify the seat base slightly, cutting a small section out on the bottom of the 'arch' at the back to allow the cables to run through. All protected with some edging strip.

Yeah I'm not sure what to do yet in terms of mud management! I might just put down some rubber matting under the bike which can then be swept out.

I'll only be putting the bikes in with the wheels on when riding 'local' trails, for ease of transport. Otherwise they'll go in with a wheel off securely mounted on the fork mounts.

I'm off to the Alps tomorrow for 10 days so I'll get properly started after I get back, I'll get it booked in for the adaptive cruise control retrofit, and also get the bench seat and multiflex board up for sale.

I can't really start playing with the layout until the bench seat etc is out.

Also wound out the awning today, I'll be using this a lot I think!

Hey mate, what type of awning is this one? Looks just like what I'm after.
