Afternoon everyone,

I thought I would put together a build log of my van.

I bought the van earlier this year in June 2024.

The van's spec is 2020 T32 Panel Van Highline with 45K miles in reflex silver.

Things I have planned for the van:
  • THQ Audi LED Headlights
  • THQ Side repeaters
  • THQ Rear Lights
  • THQ Rear 3rd Brake Light
  • Alpine Halo 11
  • Climair Wind Deflectors
  • Leighton LV-R Kit (Front, Rear, Spoiler, Sidebars)
  • Leighton LV-4 Alloys
  • Full body colour change (wrap)
  • 8 Ball Campers conversion
As things progress I will update this log and show the progress, please feel free to ask me any questions along the way.

Cheers
temma

So last night I did:
  • THQ Audi LED Headlights
  • THQ Side repeaters
  • THQ Rear Lights
Rear lights and indicators were a breeze, but the passenger side headlight caused me a bit of trouble as the wiring loom for that headlight was too short so I had to re-route it under the light and wrap in some rubber tubing and new fabric tape. Next was finding a fuse I could piggy back on, luckily fuse 17 in the engine bay did the trick.

Bit of prep work done tonight for the install of the Halo 11, if anyone is interested the parts I used let me know once its working and I can point you in the direction.

I took the door card off today as well to see if the GPS Antenna in the wing mirror was connected to anything - seems it is, must be the SOS stuff so I'm going to leave it and just run the one that came with the Halo.

Had to do a bit of soldering for the Speed sensor wire and the Antenna live.

Next step is to do a dummy install of the head unit to make sure I am happy with the screen position before I start wiring it all in.

Oh I also ordered a tracker / immobiliser for the van today too.

Well the unit is in, more work than expected, needed to do some chopping of the dash to make it fit how I wanted but all in all im happy with how it turned out and everything so far seems to be working. Oh I did flatten my battery so had to order a CTEK MXS 5 to re-charge it, just needs a drive now to clear all the errors...

What bed and tail system did you go for?

And width?.. and what was your cabinetry choices?

We went for the 112 RIB bed on the Glidemotion rails by Clearcut Conversions

The cabinets were the standard ones that come in an 8 Ball Camper conversion, we just got to choose the colours and worktop.

We went gas-less on the conversion and opted for an invertor and 230AH battery with an Induction Hob
