This years camping in the UK :-(

We shouldn't have to suck it up it's about time decent people and the law dealt with these inconsiderate and ignorant people.
Why do we allow these people to win....
There is no law governing manners and pride; it’s something we are left to govern ourselves.

It’s the old adage of the 10% spoiling it for the other 90%.

Christ, don’t get me started on the Brit and his belief of entitlement…

Wow! For a moment there I thought my father had risen from his grave!!!

 I genuinely thought it was just me getting older and grumpier, but reading through many of the comments on this thread, it's not. There's some comments on here that I totally understand and agree with. I won't be holidaying here again, and I for one cannot wait to get back to my normal European holidays in the Motorhome, starting this October hopefully.

I think it depends where you go. It seems that the top of Scotland and the far end of Cornwall are rammed. There have been plenty of places in between that have been quite and peaceful. We had a cracking week in Northumberland and a couple of days in the Yorkshire Dales.

We’ll be finding out shortly, as have a long weekend’s camping coming up! Its a site in the Cotswolds we’ve been to before and is well run.

We always have ear plugs and after a few sherbets I can sleep through anything!

This year so far we've been to Dorset Devon & Cornwall yes the sites are full to the rafters but they seem ok
It's the things/places we would normally do and enjoy that seem to be busy we enjoy walking so avoid the touristy routes which if you can read an OS map is easy and far more enjoyable we avoid sites with swimming pools, bars, night time entertainment.
Sites with no facilities certainly put off the rowdy newbies
So I think the answer is pick your site carefully

I don't want to burst your bubble, but it's just as bad or worse here in Spain on the camp sites. There is a new breed of camper....... who have bought a van/MH/tent and don't give a SH1T all because of Covid19. This is not going to get better for 2/3/4 years when they can all travel again outside their country. We went a few weeks a go to a site about 90 minutes drive from home and booked for 3 nights (weekend) after 1 night we left as the families (no disrespect to any family who look after their kids) just let the "rug rats" run wild..... on bikes or scooters and the pool was dirty as they just jump in and out as they please after rolling around in the crap!!!! RANT OVER.........

On one hand can't blame them on the other what happened to family values and standards...... Grumpy old git as my wife tells me.

Hold on, if we are waiting for all the UK Bennies to go back to Spain for their hols, where are the Spanish Bennies going to go when they are allowed?

The Spanish Bennies come to the UK and the UK Bennies go to Spain - a win win situation....... NOT.

I tend to prefer a holiday in places like Switzerland, Austria and Germany, in the colder seasons, where with any luck the fair weather brigade will be tucked up in their houses poised awaiting their next Amazon delivery

Absolutely agree - and the site owners there protect the reputation of their businesses by speaking with miscreants and evicting them if necessary!

Im thinking Norway may be a safe bet, away form the cruise stops though...anyone done it in a campervan?

Whilst in the Army I did a 3 month tour every 2/3 years when the "exercise " finished we had 10 days off (R&R) loved the place. Would think in a campervan it would be great.
