Urgh, I'm going to do it myself.. not looking forward to it though. Need to get the tessa wiring tape out first to neaten the loom up a bit.

Go for it , but I’m afraid it would’ve been beyond my capabilities , bumper off job, all done and complete by convertor in 2 hours, now waiting on darkness to fall so I can try them out

Nice! get some pics up... it's DARK outside!
I've had a look at mine as they arrived this afternoon.... the lens and internals all look very very neat indeed. (Must stress I don't have Transporter HQ lights, but 'assuming' these are the same as it would just be weird how both suppliers have suddenly got stock at the same time and the prices are..... pretty much the same).

You can compare the E approval code on the lens - it should be a long code as it will cover the four light units.

Mine have been in the parcelfarce network for the last few days, repeatedly trying to deliver when no-one is home! Hopefully I will collect them soon and find some time to fit them at the weekend

:(No pictures??

Anyone??

I've just had a call today from Travlin-Lite to say my lights will arrive tomorrow. I was very skeptical about removing the front bumper myself as it has the ABT conversion.
However, I'm pleased to report that after following Transporter HQs fantastic guide on YouTube it took me 30minutes on a practice run earlier this afternoon.
Fingers crossed theres no delay with the courier tomorrow or I'll be back out under the front of the van replacing the fixings again.

What bulbs is everyone using?
The pre fitted h1 and h7 are 55w each but the supplied Limastar lamps in the box are 100w!!
The rear of the unit is stamped with 55w as the correct rating?...
My understanding is that 100w bulbs are also illegal for street use in the U.K.

The product looks good quality, however, as others have said the wiring could be neater - but it looks well fitted so I'm not that fussed as you won't see it once they're on the van!

While the lights do look great I would have to tidy that lot and reterminate that open 2 way connector in favour of a sealed version, superseal etc.

I've just checked mine, they've come with the ultra white setup.. Phillips 130% for the h1, and then another ultra white bulb for the h7.. but both are still rated at 55 watts.

Interesting, I'm guessing yours aren't from Transporter HQ?
After lots of research last night I've ordered the Philips xtreme +130 in h7 and h1 from ECP for collection today.

Yeah mine came from TravelinLite.

Over the last week I have been very close to pressing 'buy' on a set from Transporter HQ but I think I'm going to hang fire for a while. This isn't because of any deal breaking concern over the lights as they stand but rather I'd like the first production batch to get out into the user base and generate real-world experience. Any committed manufacturer will be looking at continuous improvement so who knows how the lights will develop. I'll watch with interest with a plan to purchase in the Autumn.

I think the aftermarket should be applauded for bringing these lights to market to offer an alternative to VW's penny-pinching. It's way to easy to be critical as I'm sure that a whole load of time and effort has gone into these lights.

I'm with @YellowHound on this. I'll let the early adopters deal with the teething issues if any. And yes, that wiring is ugly

I've been close to 'add to basket' with both THQ and Travelin Lite but a little unsure as to the 'black' or 'chrome' version. Need to see them in the flesh I think. Do the 'chrome' versions look 'blingy' compared to the OEM lights? Definitely don't want bling and want to maintain a factory look.

Personally I think the black ones look spot on! Not too bling, but very classy. I can't comment on the chrome as I haven't seen them yet!
Nothing so far has made me regret buying them, regarding the bulb issue I'd have rather the unit just came with the pre fitted bulbs which are correct and I'm sure would be perfectly adequate, it's more frustrating that the additional 'free' bulbs are not suitable for use IMO. It's is fully my choice to upgrade the lamps to the Philips xtreme 130% but it's much easier to do this before fitting the units - I want as much light as possible and they seem to be the right choice for me!
I'm exited to have one of the first sets to ship as I think these will be a popular choice and look fantastic. No disrespect but if everyone sat on the fence then we'd still all be driving with the crappy h4 units!

I too have gone the black (dam they look sexy) but will be waiting longer for arrival - looking forward to hearing your evaluation on the difference between xtreem 130’s and what comes stock, i wonder why the 100w are being supplied - I believe here in OZ I could get away with using them on high beams

I had a customer come to collect some stuff from me yesterday. He came in his t6 which he'd fitted transporter HQ lights to. He has a bulb failure error on the dash but no bulbs are failed....
