It’s not meant to, one will be shaped for the near side, and the other for the off side.

In all seriousness though, i’m sure a quick call will got it resolved. TransporterHQ fitted my B14’s last year. Now getting a knocking from front struts. No quibble they told me to bring it back for them to look at, so going Monday.

I'm sure it will be sorted, they fitted my b14's too. It just doesn't help me for today!
It seems to be missing the hexagonal inset off the inside of the near side unit!

For those who have already fitted, have you just ignored the extra bulbs in the box?

I planned to replace the originals with the extra's I got. I recon the already fitted ones are cheapo ones from the Far East and may not even all be ultra white. Mine have come with what should be all white replacement bulbs so the whole light cluster is the same

That's my suspicion too regarding the fitted bulbs but I'm not keen to fit the extras bulbs because they are 100w. Perhaps a set of Philips 150% are required.

I've ignored the extra pack of free bulbs as they were 100w. I've also changed the pre-fitted bulbs to a set of Philips +130% bulbs.

Can someone help me.

I’m just about to fit mine and am left totally confused on what bulbs to fit. I’ve read the ones already in the light will be crap yet the ones supplied are going to throw up an error as they’re 100w.

I’m going to Halfords now to get some bulbs. Can someone tell me what to buy and clear up my utter confusion.

Thanks

Andy

You need H1 and H7. Something like Phillips Racing Vision or Osram Nightbreaker. Like these:

Philips 0730221 12258-XVS2 H1 X-Treme Power +100% Headlight Bulbs (A Pair) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00440CWBC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_rLFBAbW7WBNDE

Philips RacingVision +150% H7 headlight bulb 12972RVS2, twin pack https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01LWPJF1J/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_HMFBAbFVW3A4H

Thank you @CaliStu.

Well I’ve just fit them. It was more painful than expected. My van is lowered by 50ml so getting to the screws was much more problematic. I also have a Leighton Vans splitter which has some hidden screws which were a nightmare.

Anyway it’s done now and I feel like I’ve achieved something. Me and spanners don’t mix well so it was a small victory to do this job

100w are Illegal to use on the road, you should not use them. It was covered early in the thread

Phillips Racing Vision-bought them yesterday on amazon. Thank you forum gurus for expertise on which one to choose! Looking forward to fit them on our velle.

Do these fit in the standard H4 headlights?

Could someone do me a favour.

Looking for a picture of the light spread of the new transporter hq lights. Preferably at night.

Mine look odd. Would like to compare in case I’ve balls’d mine up.

Thank you

They will almost definitely need a bit of focusing / setting up. Mine look ok, but I'm going to have a fiddle with them (travelin light units) to try and get the most out of it.

You should get the lights correctly aligned, any mot test centre should be able to sort the alignment correctly so that you don't dazzle other road users and you get the correct spread of light.
