Yeah, kinda takes the shine off the whole thing when you put it like that.

Must admit, my heart sank a bit when I opened the box and saw the wiring. I wish I’d been aware of how shit the H4 stock lights were when I was shopping. Might have held out for an LED equipped one.

Ran out of time to fit this weekend but have reserved next Sunday for this. Really need to do something as driving down some unlit roads had me self-limiting to 50 this past week.

I was going to buy some of the THQ Led rear lights but after reading some of the comments on this thread i dont think i'll bother. Dodgy wiring worries me :(

Let me clarify, I think the wiring is probably perfectly fine, but I suspect like a few others here I'm a bit 'belt and braces' when it comes to these things. OEM or better is what I aim for, since I prefer to avoid potential problems rather than fix them.

I'm less concerned about the appearance of the wiring and more with the fact that the lights I've seen on various threads recently don't seem to work.

Well gents been to THQ today, I have got to say first class service from them, Andy and team sorted my issues with my lights I was just unlucky, rears fitted and fronts.
Thanks THQ.

How do you mean 'unlucky'?
We're the lights defective

I had mine fitted last Friday at THQ (black versions), no issues at all with them. The light projection is much better, I went for the super white bulbs which do give whiter light output.

I also went for the LED foglights, a bit gimmicky but look good.

The customer service at THQ was excellent. Turned up at 2.30pm, got a brew shoved in my hand and they immediately got cracking. I was out of there at 3pm a very happy camper!

Wow, that’s pit lane quick.

Have you got any nighttime photos of the projection on the road that you can share? I ask as feedback from the first version seemed to indicate they were similar in output to H7’s, so an improvement would be a deal maker for me.

So what about the water ingress issues gents? I presume they haven't gone away. It's been precipitating tonight...
I want to do mine but as summer (?) comes the light nights keep putting it on the back burner.

Any pics of the black versions?

Are the ‘super white bulbs’ the ones that are supplied loose with the lights - Limastar Powervision halogen?

no, the super white are not included in the price and was told that they are not as bright due to a covering they place over the bulb.

Well I got two pairs of Limastar ‘super white’ included in the price for the head lights, 2x H7 and 2x H1, both marked 55w (retailing separately at 7.50 / pair on THQ. These were supplied loose, the headlamps have Osram bulbs fitted when delivered.
I enquired with THQ and was told that there is a typo on their website and that the bulbs are compatible with the head light and additional loom.
I believe that earlier 100w bulbs were offered which were NOT compatible with the additional loom.
You’d think they would just correct their website????

Yes everyone I had front and back issues both drivers side didn’t operate properly THQ replaces them happy days.
I'd like to go for the v2 front headlights, but as has been pointed out, there appears to be lots of quality issues with these. It seems unbelievable that your lights were shipped without being bench tested first! How are they performing after a month, any issues at all?

@Cherokee I had mine installed since launch with no issues so far, with led bulbs in they are miles better than old h4’s. Not cheap but look good and perform a lot better

No not yet, hopefully in the next couple of weeks. Thq are fitting and coding them. Il keep this post updated.
