Gents just to give THQ a bit of praise they installed mine after a few teething problems and coded mine, their service was excellent in fact I’m going back to them and getting more work done with them. First class.

Can anyone tell me do these (V2 or V1) look even close to OEM LEDs in real life if you go for the chrome ones?
Would be great to see a side by side comparison.

I think the chrome ones may be a bit too blingy
I think the black chrome balance is about right

Has anybody who’s installed themselves needed to adjust the beam direction?

I was going to get mine tested but they look spot on to me. Perfect beam pattern which does not appear to dazzle oncoming traffic or those in front. The pattern also kicks up to the nearside to lighten up the roadside better. MOT coming up soon so I'll find out for sure.

Interesting, I've wondered how these would fare at MOT time, keep us posted.

Warranty ran out on the van last month, so I was finally able to install these, having had them sat in my office for two months. Van also went for its first MOT the week after, so they are checked and fine. No adjustments needed and a piece of cake to install. Maybe 90 minutes on the drive, with a little help from a mate. Hardest part of the job was getting to the trim fitting in the wheel arch. No warning lights, no issues. Very happy with the new look and being able to (safely) drive more than 50mph at night now....

I want the thq lights for my van but again they are out of stock.
How bad would a warranty argument be if you had changed the lights? Against what sort of issues, compared with having decent light output in the dark!
Good to hear there are no problems tho.

I don't know, but wasn't prepared to take the risk of invalidating it. I've been there before and had claims dismissed that had nothing to do with mods performed.

Highly recommend the lights if you can get hold of them.

Has anyone had these THQ lights apart?

I'm weighing up options of how to get the best light output for sensible money and am considering swapping out the projectors for bi-xenon ones, fitting a HID kit and LEDs in the main beam chambers for flashing duties. That way I'll get a HID main beam without the warm up delay and a fast responding, white flasher for when the lights are turned off. From what I can gather, aftermarket bi-xenon projectors are fixed through the bulb hole on regular reflector lights, so I'm wondering if it would be a relatively straightforward swap.

I don't want to open that can of worms, so forget I said I want to fit a HID kit into them. ;)
