TV Aerial for the van.

If you have iPads and such Loz has a superb little gadget that with its app picks up tv signals and you can watch tv. Cracking bit of kit.... remember watching the F1 at Bala lake. Give him a nudge...
@Loz share the love on your iPad gadget mate.

Instead of a terrestrial TV Arial a satellite dish could be considered? Free Sat or SKY, I guess now that there may be others. Would require a Dish, size would depend on how far afield one wanted to travel away from its intended beam. A mounting either on the vehicle or on a collapsible tripod. Suitable cable length and connectors and a Decoder as many as you would like depending on what services are required. Some of the larger dishes will pick up good signals way outside of the projected satellite beams.

Just like terrestrial aerials which need a line of sight to a transmitter, SAT Dishes need a line of sight to a Satellite. Obviously one need to transport any of these things. I had a mate with a LR Defender who carried a large dish on his vehicle roof he set up by hand and he went all over Europe and Russia. His main interest was languages. He could speak fluently nearly every Europian Language including Weslsh and Russian and many others . All self taught. He used to watch TV from host countries and when back in UK would continue watching East European TV to develop his language skills further.

What is the best TV Ariel for a campervan I have a free view TV .but the Ariel I have never picks up a signal

We also have the August DTA240 - works really well as long as you stick it on the roof of the van and bring the cable in through the window.
