Upgrading the Factory Leisure Battery set up (+ additions)!

If you're heading to the south then forum trade regulars @Absolut5 and @BognorMotors are in range.

And absolutely nothing bad about doing your research but deciding it's out of your comfort zone. Your more informed about what you want and what your needs are.

I have a rule of thumb at 30A - circuits above that I'm likely to ask someone who works with that sort of stuff everyday to do the work, if for no other reason they'll have better pro grade tools.
We are based near Stonehenge , just literally a minute of the A303

This type of install/upgrade is something we do on a weekly basis .

Hi. Thanks for response. How much do you guys want for this set?

Thanks for the recommend. We can certainly assist you. You can have a day at the seaside and we have courtesy vehicles. Happy to have a talk through your needs.

Looking good. If you're doing a final tidy consider putting some PVC or Mesh sleeving over this section of what looks like your main battery cable (possibly before the main fuse?)

Looks like there is a bit of a chance of fretting and wear against the rib on the seat frame or the bus bar, both of which are grounded.

Plus point is if there is a bit of chaffing it's much easier to swap a new bit of sleeve in rather than changing the cable run.

I finally had a tidy up this morning, IMG_2347.jpeg

Thank god I did as I had squeezed the feed from the starter battery against the seat base .
I pushed it with my fingers and it sparked !!

Quick repair extra heat shrink and some protection underneath it should be good now. it was always a short cable from factory.

I am reading all this with envy, I would love to be confident to attempt something like this, but no way that I will ever be.

My 2020 T6.1 conversion came with a factory installed LB under the passenger seat 75a AGM, which i believe is charged via VW split charger. I would really like to have it changed to a lifepo4 Fogstar 105ah.

Las year we went to France and Domestic fridge stopped working on the 3 day as it was well warm and working overtime. So as @Dellmassive suggested that Lithium is the way forward. It's fine when on EHU but off EHU it's a push.

The only solution for me would be to get it done by someone who knows what to do in this respect.

Does anyone know or would be able to recommend where it can be done around Mid Wales/North Wales/Shropshire. To be honest I am willing even to travel anywhere as far as Southampton (I can visit my aunt
