Van restricted to 79mph

Just wondering if anyone has derestricted there peppermint green van if it came from fps, if so how did you go about It, was it restricted by ecu or by a fitted box somewhere? Thanks Dan

It’s normally done via software, if done with VCDS it can be undone with VCDS but if it’s been to a mapper and been hardcoded into the ECU (which I doubt) then it would need the ECU to be reflashed to stock

I've recently had mine re mapped by West Wales Tuning and speed limit restriction removed. he thought the remap would remove it but it hadnt which in most cases he does it does remove it but someone said it was on the VCD?

I was able to derestrict our ex-FPS using VCDS.
