Waterpump - preferred make (aftermarket) or OEM?

Hi,

I will shortly be replacing the cam belt so will do the waterpump at the same time.

Looking on GSF - they have a Graf water pump which fits my van (2018 T30 T6 150) and euro car parts have a Starline water pump and Ina water pump.

Are the aftermarket ones ok/reliable or would you always go for an VW OEM part?

Thanks

Nik.

If the pump seizes it will break the cambelt, new engine time.
Not the item to save a few quid on IMO.

I think the genuine one is less than £100 so not a huge saving, i went with genuine pump with cambelt change

Go with the OEM. Firstly it will have a warranty on it, if it fails VW should replace it FOC.

TPS is the place to go, they are owned by VW hence the OEM parts they sell are covered by the VW warranty.

Thanks all.

Appreciate the advice.

I’ll be calling TPS tomorrow to purchase a new water-pump and cam belt!
