Wanted to stop by and say hi.
I've had my T6 SWB since late 2015.
Had a CoTrim DuoVan conversion done in 2017.
Just looking at making some more changes to go from work transport during the week to camper at the weekend.
Just looking for a conversion company to fit a skyline roof, kombi seats and insulate and carpet it.
I've just ordered an Ovano drawer/bed system.
Looking forward to that camper life

Hi all, thought I should introduce myself, bit late as I joined a while back and posted a bit already.
We have a 2013 140 Kombi in natural grey, from new, bit of a work in progress multi use work/windsurf/day van, joined here as I was going to upgrade to T6 but with everything going on this last year have put that on hold so sticking with for now.

Wouldn't have thought so, never heard of warranty issues due to a dashcam.

I’ve spent the last six months researching campervans and, all things considered, such as space on the drive and accessing car parks, etc., I’ve concluded that a new T6.1-based campervan is the way forward for us.
I was going down the California Ocean route but wasn’t very impressed by the ’we’re doing doing you a favour by supplying you mate’ attitude of the two VW dealerships that I contacted and the simple fact that an £80k Ocean didn’t feature a hot water option. This prompted me to look elsewhere and explore third party converters.
After doing some homework, I’ve now settled on a ’swamper’ style van based on a 204 T32 4Motion DSG platform. The current shortlist is down to Hillside Leisure and Vanworx who both seem to offer what I’m looking for. At the moment I’m torn between an SWB or LWB version. The extra space seems useful (we have a large dog who will need somewhere to ride and sleep) so the LWB version seems the most attractive right now. As soon as the lockdown restrictions allow, SWMBO and I will be visiting Derby and Portland to check these guys out. Then it’ll be make your mind up time.

I am about to place an order for a T6.1 Kombi, new to transporters but had every mk of golf apart from 1 & 8. Hopefully be here for a long time and can't wait to explore every inch of the UK over the next few years.

We are very excited as we should(hope) be picking up our first VW 6.1 Campervan in the next 8 - 10 weeks. Been a long time deciding what to get, but bit the bullet and ordered one.
