Welcome new members

T6 is the first vehicle with SS for me, the first thing I do after starting the thing, is to press the switch. :D
That is what the little device does, reverses the logic state of the switch so it defaults to off every time you start the vehicle, instead of on, but you can enable it if you want to. It just saves remembering to press the switch. My Volvo has the switch right where the gear lever is so all I have to do is extend finger. Way over to the left on the van is a pain to do. I know first world problems :)

I agree, the switch is inconvenient where it is. That is why it is the very first thing I do after starting. It is most probably there because most vehicles manufactured are most likely Left hand Drive. I live in the country so it is unusual to have the vehicle just sitting around and idling. Out here stalling is a real inconvenience with hill starts at awkward junctions and so on not to mention the off road bit. Also travelling on narrow twisty roads one often has to stop and reverse because no one seams to know what a reverse gear is. I am fortunate in having a very alert wife who will switch it over for me if on the rare occasions I have not :sneaky:. If I where in a town or travelling on the motorway perhaps I would just leave it, I do not know. I hate this new world of everything being done for the driver, auto lights auto this and that. Our whole lives are being taken over by auto everything including political autocrats. Auto lights are a pain not only are they not up to the job, they make people even lazier. In fog mostly the only people with fog lights are those imbeciles who have them on all the time or the few who know what they are. Now those with recent vehicles are driving about with only daylight running lights. So even less people have appropriate lights on at some of the most dangerous times.

I am quite clumsy with moving bits of plastic. I usually snap something off, but surely the switch could be just slid over and swapped to a more useful slot for those of us with Right Hand Drive Vehicles, instead of using some other device. Or is everything so tight with only just about enough wiring to use the one ordained slot?
