Welcome new members

Hi all,
I'm Colin and I thought it was about time I said hello as I've been lurking for a while now.
I got
my T6 at the tail end of last year. It's a T6 Highline panel van. Currently looking at conversion options and creative ways to blow my cash on it.

Welcome to the Thunderdome.

You have to keep it a panel van if you're converting. Everyone loves a panel van.

Glass and light are so last year

The glass I'm looking at getting is so dark it would be easier seeing through a panel ;)

Hi to all,

Looking forward to becoming a future owner! Our eldest isn’t 2 yet and we’re expecting twins second time around, so have managed to convince the wife a caravelle is the way to go, due to its flexibility etc.
After viewing a swb we think we will need a lwb, to cart the kids and associated paraphernalia around.

Our max budget is 30k. Do you think that is achievable for a t6, as there doesn’t seem to be any 2015/2016 for sale that I can see. All are 2017/2018 which exceed our budget.
I've been put off the CFCA 2.0 bitdi in the t5 and their potential oil consumption issues which is the main reason for going to t6.

Thanks for any advice
Cheers, Andy.

Hi all I’m about to order a new t6 shuttle 150 dsg.
Going through the options list and see you cant have the comfort dash on the shuttle.Looking around on here and i see people have done it but its beyond my diy skills!!,anyone know anybody who could/would?Also led headlights an expensive option, are the aftermarket ones any good?...

Hi Guy's,
We pick up our first VW tomorrow its a T32 Highline SWB 204 TDi BMT DSG 4Motion panel van and we are very much looking forward to it, I have been driving a startline 5.1 for a few years issued by my work so like the drive and apart from a problem with fan belts last year (6 of them) it is a good van so two transporters in the drive from now on :)

The first thing were planning on doing is taking the top half of the bulkhead out the sound proofing / insulating the van as we will be carrying our dogs in the back, after that side windows (any to avoid as I hear some can leak?) then if possible a heated window in the tailgate (wash wipe?)

any way i'll be picking your brains

Thanks
Stuart

Hi @Glenn
Hit the “forum” tab, top left.
Select which area your post will be relevant in i.e “show us your T6”.
In the top right corner there is a blue box “post new thread” press it.
Give your thread a title, then start writing.

Hi,
Just popped on here as we’re taking the VW plunge :D. Hoping to either buy a van and pay for conversion or buy a converted van?!? Not sure which is best yet so will have a mooch round to see what other folks have done.

Hello new member here. Currently have my heart and mind set on potentially getting my first campervan. Ideally T6 already converted. Or go all out on a California ocean.

We are in the same boat, can’t decide which is the better option. We’ve seen Camperking and also been to Denby Campervans who do the whole van+conversion with 12 month warranty which we liked a lot. Or do we get a van and then conversion separate- would it be cheaper? We’re off to vw in action at Santa Pod this weekend to hopefully get a few ideas in the world of VW. I’m just dreading rocking up in the Audi :notworthy:
If I could find the extra I’d be with you on the California though- the sliding beds sway me as we need the boot space!
