What are you drinking tonight?

I have bought an assortment of 8 different IPA/ Amber ales from Morrison's. I will start with the Dartmoor IPA tonight and slowly work my through them all over next few nights.
I will post my thoughts on the tasting sessions, before choosing my favourite.

Nice pint but Ginsters doesn’t qualify as a pasty where I come from.
Here’s a couple of growlers we knocked up last week, two of them fill an oven tray.

Beer taste is both very personal and shared.

I think we need to know your favourites so that we can calibrate your ratings according to our own personal preferences.

For instance, IPA or Best Bitter (Amber Ale for the youngsters).
Mild - yes or no?
Guinness or a London porter?
Lager anytime, or only in Summer?
(betraying my own preferences there, methinks  )

A bit like wheels. If someone raves about their 20s with tyre walls so narrow you can blacken them with a permanent marker in one sweep of your hand, you might not take their advice on a swamper setup

My normal tipple is John Smith's Magnet ( Bitter), but I do like to venture into Craft Ales etc.

Excellent, keep them coming.

Any tasting notes, you know the sort of thing, 'hints of citrus', 'toffee notes', 'long malty finish', 'old sweaty socks' :slow rofl:

With the Dartmoor IPA, there was a subtle taste of grapefruit. Thankfully no sweaty sock taste.

I need to have a good scout around our supermarkets, oop North, for some of that Jail Ale. Seems a popular drink with our southern based T6'ers.
Free delivery for 16 bottles!

1700 hrs.....Bars open. ( had to supply own nibbles)
