What are you.... EATING tonight/today?

@Cuffy. Don't know what looks worse the curry, the shorts or the white things poking out of the bottom of the shorts!

Waiting for our Indian take away delivery at 1900hrs before settling down to watch the Champo League Final.

Love a Chinese meal, in or out. So recently had a takeaway, and was really shocked at the huge jump in price. £34 for dinner for 3. Lemon Chicken, Chicken Chow Mein, Curried Mushrooms, Special Fried Rice. 2 Large Spring Rolls.
Lemon chicken, barely a decent breast sliced and battered. The chicken was good, but £2 for a tiny plastic tub of sauce, about 75cl. So had a go myself. Bottle of Lemon squash. About 200cl, cornflour, 1/2 lemon and sugar to adjust the acidity. Quick whisk and simmer. Blind taste, and wouldn't know the difference. Cost about 10p for 3 of the same size portions. Duplicate Orange squash for the Orange version. Make a batch, and freeze, if it's one of your favourites.
Same cost difference similar for a portion of rice, when buying bulk by the 25KG sack
Bought a box of catering size 2kg box of Prawn crackers for under £10, from a Chinese Supermarket. Probably would make between 350 and 500 portions. So the dear bit is the cooking oil. Normally Prawn Crackers is about £1. Or spend XYZ and they give a bag away, not surprising when costs about 2-3pence to make.
Now thinking that the prawn toast, is a blend of prawns and sea food sticks. Seaweed is actually fine shredded deep fried cabbage leaf. So if Crab Sticks is now Seafood Sticks, why isn't seaweed renamed cabbage.
An Indian meal of curried Duck, would have sworn it was Turkey thigh. Should have done something about it.

It will end up as Korean BBQ'd fillet with pickled ginger, carrot and spring onions.
Been marinading for 7hrs.
