@Qnapper I‘ve used it a couple of times, I made a foam storage sleeve and it sits in the van on long trips. Those longer trips tend to be autumn and winter so not really needed very often.
It is very well made, will fit on either side. The only draw back being the VW design, with the slider open the rain comes in slightly more than when it‘s closed.
I doubt the van would be covered by insurance if you left it unattended as technically the window is open.

No idea sorry, pretty easy to fit though and didn’t need to drill anything. Fitted to existing holes if that makes sense so guessing it’s not too far off the oem version.
