What Have You Bought Today?

Some 'Graft' suckers, £50ish from Amazon.

Just possible to fit on the back and still open the slider.

That's the minimum the awning has to come out as the feet won't go vertical on that side of the Fiamma legs, although I think I can file down the plastic to allow more movement.

Feels very secure, but usual caveats about wind, leaving the van, overnight etc. apply.

Possible but tricky with just a ladder.

I needed to cut mine in three to fit around the brackets, so if you have scenic canvas you can have a good look to see where it goes.

Any pictures of your lads , so I can see how it’s supposed to look?

@Bav , I heard this product could be used on a pop top to get the shine back, thoughts?
Not tried it yet mate, but I regularly watch the YT channel "Chop's Garage" - a west country car dealer specialising in the sale of sub £5k cars - he isn't sponsored by them, but he swears by the stuff for restoring the colour and shine of any black trim and he even uses the it on paintwork. By the results he gets, I'd say it'd work well on a pop-top.

The only issue I've found in the past with black restorers is they tend to work by infusing the surface with the oils that are lost and cause the fade, but to get them to penetrate there seems to be some mild surfactant/solvent as well.

So they do work but they then fade again reasonably quick and more than they were before as the restorer seems to cause more loss of the original oils.

I generally now wait to use them until the fade is really bad as I know then I'm committed to topping them up regularly.

I'm already at that stage with my 16 month-old, dealer-fitted bumper protector. :(

At least re-application will be no big deal for something the size a bumper protector. :think smile bounce:

After a long search, i hope this is the one for our needs. But cheez, or the box is really heavy, or this thing weights a ton (21kilo i guess actuelly) but still haha

For Polytrol results have a nose at this…..

I reckon, if I could get the birds that nest in our roof guttering to eat this stuff, I'd never need to polish the van ever again!!!
Mine is just fading, no bird mess nothing else and like said before the harder I try to fix it the quicker and worse it fades.

There is a specific thread about this. It would be good to have these messages about this and this product there. Is it possible to move/copy them over?
