What Have You Bought Today?

Not sure if this counts, van went in this morning for a DSG oil change and a couple of recalls but ended up having:
- DSG oil change
- brake fluid change
- new pollen filter

And apparently it also has:
Leaky front shock
Leaking water pump (was replaced last June when the cambelt was done)

Expecting a large(ish) bill!

If you haven't bought anything.. This!! EVEREST-VW DIGIDASH CONNECTED - HEAD UNIT SYNC KIT: (Connect Box, Link

I dont like to blow my trumpet; that's not me, but there isn't another connect box, let alone a kit that won't end up on eBay once you've tried this! I know of several already.

If you don't like it for whatever reason, you can send it back to me in perfect condition within 21 Days for a full refund as a T6 Forum Special; just PM me through the site, and I will put a note on your order - Owsat! The first two batches are nearly sold out, and I have ordered enough stuff to build 100 kits on the way to me. Yikes! Kind of.. but genuinely. I haven't got the money to burn on bad investments. This is a standout product! So I put my name on it! Since these are going to be getting shown off!

Thanks for everyone's support in getting to this stage! It's only possible with the collective thoughts of the many! Like most things that go on in here!

P.S. You should have this even if you don't have a digidash - It has transformed my Alpine Halo 11 - I can't imagine the seachange on a stock unit or Kenwood (sorry). But that menu kills me.

Whilst the cards continue to entertain and perform as expected, my new AVA GO P55 pressure washer has died on its arse on its second outing.

Was working fine and then motor sounded like it was struggling, with the flow starting to pulse then stopped completely. Distinct hot electrical smell when I went to check it

Time to see if Clean Store and Ava can live up to their after sales reputation.

Update to the above. AVA were contacted and after folllowing the online Q&A the problem was assessed to be a faulty switch box. A replacement switch and fitting instructions were sent FOC. Replacement switch was fitted with some minor open heart surgery for the machine; however it failed the function test and still failed to fire, so a full return to depot was in order.

Courier arrived to collect at a time/date of my choosing and the refurbed unit (not sure what they did to it) was returned to me today a little over a week after collection.
Tomorrow will be Shiny Saturday testing time, but so far impressed by their after sales service with good comms and friendly humans on the other end of emails (in Norway) and commitment to repair vs replace ethos.

After 5 years I can purchase a do-at-home service kit of new seals. washers etc and extend the warranty for a further 5 years for 10 in total.

Good service, would recommend (so long as this one lasts the distance!)

Repair in progress a couple of weeks ago. quite a simple machine under all the plastic.

How have you got on with it? This is on a F43?
It is indeed on the F43van, and I've got on very well.

Only used it once, but quick and intuitive to deploy. Fits perfectly, as expected.

The only slight ballache is, as it typical with these things, getting it back in the bag afterwards!

After last months multiple flat tyre issues I’ve brought a tyre inflator to live permanently in the van, it’s the smaller version of Tmax, but it will be a lot quicker than the 18 v battery Makita inflator, that’s now going to live in the boot of the car
T max 72 litre per min
Makita 12 litre per min

I’ve been splashing out today.
First thanks to @Ali-G i got a £250 socket set for £125. I got another £5 off being a Halfords member. So £120 all in.
Then I bought a swamper style arch and side covers for my work T5.1 van.

It’s going in to get it body work tidied up as I’ve given the poor girl a hard life.
I’m going to get the arches rust proofed and treated before fitting this kit on top.
Should keep her solid for a while longer. 179k miles on her and I wouldn’t think twice about taking off to the furthest corner of Scotland and back in her.
I’ve got Devonports on her and bonnet guard to fit also.
I also got a present from the wife tonight. :D
She heard me mention I’d always wanted one of these the other night.
My hint dropping worked a treat.
It’s a wicked bit of kit.
I’m a happy boy.
Wife is now worried I’m going to cut my fingers off as I’m real good at hurting myself 🙃 :geek:
