What Have You Bought Today?

Steve we have discussed these before
We also discussed the price as well if you remember
The results you achieve are either brilliant or not the price should not be the final factor

Cheers

The ST X are a great kit, irrespective of price. The fact that they are so well priced is just the icing on the cake really.

Did you try the Chilli jam set up just as comparison
I understand you wanted the T32 set up

I went with the H&R/Koni coilover kit Andy. The ST X just don’t go quite low enough for my van.
I'm really tempted with the CRS offering, I currently have Stance Ultras fitted with about 85mm drop on my LWB T32.
I find them quite noisy, clunky and harsh over big bumps.
I think I need to raise them a little as the occasional tyre rub annoys me too (275/40/R19).

Not sure if a 15mm or so raise will make much difference.
I hear such good things about the H&R Koni setup, I might just have to bite the bullet.
Justifying the cost is a bit difficult though.
Any feedback on your setup would be most welcome and help me decide I'm sure.

TIA

I haven't had the opportunity to try the Twin Monotube Project kit yet, but I will. I just haven't had the opportunity yet. Once I do I will update my other thread with the findings.

You're closer to me than Steve and whilst I haven't officially announced it (I will be doing so this weekend), I'll be supplying and fitting everything that Steve @CRS Performance can, I'll be an authorised (in fact the first) CRS fitting centre. If you can wait a week or so you'll be welcome to come and have a test drive in my van, it'll be running the Koni/H&R setup at about 80-85mm down on 20s. We may be able to do something about the rubbing too, but if we can't solve it on the day we can advise on next steps to take to stop it, whilst maintaining the stance you have now.

Alternatively, if you don't want to be as low as you are now, we can fit the ST X kit, which is brilliant, but only goes 65-70mm down depending on the application. If you're interested, drop me a PM so we don't completely hijack this thread!

Really sorry, I’ve just realised that I didn’t directly answer your question about feedback! Have a look at the post linked below, I haven’t fitted the kit to my van yet, this will be happening next week, but the linked post/thread talks about my suspension journey.

To sum it up though, the reason I decided to offer it to my customers was because I was so impressed by the Koni/H&R kit after driving it at Steve’s place! I can’t wait to get them fitted, but I’ve been so busy finalising everything for the new business that I just haven’t had the time. Plus I would rather do it next week when the lift gets installed in my unit than do it on my drive!

Comfort dash (lower section) Fitted same day

I see you have the USB socket in the compartment next to the gearstick. May I ask how you did this or where your got it please. My van has a factory fitted comfort dash But the USB socket is in the top glovebox on the passenger side which annoys the hell out of me...

Hut slippers

Arrived midweek to a post office en route, thank you Amazon!

Down, very warm and toasty, and a bargain compared to the branded slippers. Just the job for an evening in the van. Sizing was a bit confusing though

It’s not working yet, I’m just accumulating the parts, I’m doing it with the USB splitter and cable set. I’ve just put the socket in to make it look tidy. Well spotted though!

Hope this works....Centre caps 60mm from a Polo to fit Sportline wheels ( old caps are rubbish) and the parts guy was wearing this really nice Gucci mask...so being cheeky ...did they sell them ....No! ..but I got one free ( don’t ask you don’t get ) ...Result :)

Not today but yesterday.
Paid a visit to Steve @CRS Performance to have the H&R coilover kit and Koni shocks + H& R Arbs installed. Didn't want the van slammed as still need a bit of wiggle room for when I load the van for my fishing trips. I think the end result is just right.

My journey home was a delight. I wouldn't call it perfect because I doubt that is possible, but it's as close as I think I will get. The ride has been greatly improved and feels as if the road has been ironed out. Going round corners is now fun knowing I'm gonna make it. I would liken it to a very large go kart.
My van finally feels how I imagined.
My thanks to Steve and all at @CRS Performance for all their help and advice.
If anyone is looking for a suspension upgrade I would highly recommend.

The van is looking good, Nigel.
Roughly what wiggle room do you have left?

Hi @Ads_Essex
On the front it can still go down about another 20mm. The rear are fully wound down but could get another 10mm by removing the top mount. The front is down about 50mm from standard and the rear is down 65mm. When the van is loaded it will drop another 20mm.
