Whilst the cards continue to entertain and perform as expected, my new AVA GO P55 pressure washer has died on its arse on its second outing.

Was working fine and then motor sounded like it was struggling, with the flow starting to pulse then stopped completely. Distinct hot electrical smell when I went to check it

Time to see if Clean Store and Ava can live up to their after sales reputation.

Not today but last Friday I had a set of Michelin Agilis Cross Climates (216/60/17) fitted to my Devonports replacing the original Conti Van Contacts. The tyres were clean and shiny after fitting but a 6 mile drive in crappy weather soon took care of that and they're now nearly as dirty as the wheels. I've had hub caps and silver bolt covers on the wheels for ages now but was thinking of going back to the original 'star caps' (which I've now taken off again) - any thoughts?

Black bolt covers and no stars for me. Nice new tyres…. just wish they did these in 18”.

@T6ARF - After further thought, I decided to try your suggestion and I think it's the winner. OK so they don't have VW printed on them but, on the plus side, they otherwise
look similar, were only £8 for the set of 20 on eBay and they sent me two sets by mistake so I've got a few spares.

No, mine was optioned with the parking heater with remote control from new, but the previous owner lost the remote and never bothered to replace it. So literally all I needed to do was buy a replacement and pair it with the van. The remote fob option means mine has an additional controller for the remote.

If yours didn't come with the remote specced as an option, I'm sure it's possible to add it - but it'll be more complicated!

After scrolling thru various discussions on the subject here, and weighing up the pros / cons of self-inflating mattresses, Duvulays and other options, went to Dunelm and paid £65 for a small double (122cm x 190cm) topper which fits very nicely. Ready for the new season - time will tell whether it does the job.
