What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

ooh hang on!? so is the rear badge two pieces? so i'm guessing that the chrome piece just unclips/pops off then huh?
thanks...
It certainly is on my van. I went very carefully all the way round the outside edge with a plastic trim tool to get it to lift. I then moved to the centre as there is a clip in the centre and I didn’t want to break it. If you look at the picture o the chrome bit you’ll see where all the tabs are. The black bit is stuck to the van so if adding vinyl as I did, you need to do it in situ. I meant to take a picture but forgot

Hardwired a VictronIP65/7. Fitted some LED upgrade bulbs cab and rear plate and some new LED rears.

THQ V3 may go in this weekend.

Vanstyle gloss black outer grills with DRLs fitted. I had to email them for the instructions and it states on them that they don’t dim when the lights are on, I thought this was a requirement but never mind

De-badged the rear last year. With the van being black it always bugged me how in direct sun the badge outlines still showed up . You could literally read Transporter on the boot with the letters gone. So today I washed, clayed and 2 stage machine polished the boot followed by a waxing. Sun came out and boom. Perfection. The Mrs didn't understand the fuss.

I done the same yesterday with all badges but the transporter one....this German paint is a pain to work with.....either that or I've been spoilt usually doing fords.

De-badged the rear. Fitted summer tyres (will we actually get to use them ?)
Charged the battery.

Just want to go camping with it now !

Agreed. Buying a German Black van has taught me a lot in terms of paint care!
And also given me mild to severe OCD.

Took the 16” standard alloys and winter tyres off, as I most certainly did not complete the Nc500 this Easter, as planned.

And then dusted off the 19” summer wheels / tyre combo, to refit to Buster

Lots better, me thinks!!

Also, at the same time as having the front wheels off, for easy access to the cover, I fitted LED cornering / fog lights instead of the factory fitted H11’s
Just need the lockdown to be lifted and some fog to come down, so I can take the T6 for a play, to see if the efforts have been worth it!!!

I managed to Marr a few panels on mine......didn't show with the sun torch but when I parked it in the sun......I was in tears.
Few hours later and I managed to sort it.
I will never own a black car purley for the swirl and keeping clean factor.
