What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

Took the 16” standard alloys and winter tyres off, as I most certainly did not complete the Nc500 this Easter, as planned.

And then dusted off the 19” summer wheels / tyre combo, to refit to Buster

Lots better, me thinks!!

Also, at the same time as having the front wheels off, for easy access to the cover, I fitted LED cornering / fog lights instead of the factory fitted H11’s
Just need the lockdown to be lifted and some fog to come down, so I can take the T6 for a play, to see if the efforts have been worth it!!!
Still holding out to do the NC500 this year....

Finally, after 6 months, I removed the sportscraft swivel base from my passenger seat. For some unknown reason the converter fitted it even though the van has an OEM swivel base!

For what it's worth, I've fitted one in my camper and it was a very easy job (but you must have the correct size spline bits). I also made and fitted the back board - again easy. In my case, I downloaded the drawing from the Vankraft website but some of the numbers were a bit indistinct so I made a template out of a sheet of cardboard (from a large box), got that exact and then cut a sheet of hardboard from it (which only cost about £4 IIRC). There's a useful video on the Vankraft website on how to fit the bracket. IMHO (and that of 'er indoors) it transforms the seat and is money very well spent.

I Got the spline bits in a halfords professional range socket set at Christmas it was a very easy job I didn't get round to making the back board due to B&Q canceling my click and collect order because the were reopening the store ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ but funnily enough I have made a cardboard template shouldn't be to difficult to fit the board when I get round to it because now at least I can fold the seat lol

The clips at the botton of the seat back upholstery are also easy to undo (and redo) once you realise how they work.

I had a play tonight moving the OEM ceiling lights into the C-pillar. When I originally removed them I realised they were a switch and thought the mechanism was cool (sad I know) and seemed a shame to waste them.

Used the grey board for a template. I'll make them out of 5mm tomorrow and carpet with hidden fixings. Just need an LED festoon now

A company in the North East.
I won't add their name due to going off on several rants about them lately.
The Ablemail B2B was added by myself temporarily cos knew I'd be tidying it up when I got the chance.

Carista delivered and that annoying Km per hour removed. Took me nearly 3 years to get round to doing it. Also needle sweep is quite cool !
How much does Carista cost to use? I'd quite like to get it as it will be handy to have in the glovebox and would like to enable some features.

It’s £15-20 to buy with a months free subscription (you can cancel the subscription straight away to ensure you don’t go past the free period) then if you need it for something else after the free month then you can pay £2ish for a week. I can’t remember how much it was for the full year

Spent the last few days fitting Stance+ coil overs to the front of the van. Had to get a new lower ball joint as damaged it whilst removing. Hoping to get the back of the van done if it ever stops raining!

Not sure if it’s too low. Will take it out for a test drive when I get the back done.

Looking good. What size wheels you got there?

20’s with 275/40 tyres.
Stance is looking really good. If you get any front rubbing at that height it’s the width and profile of the tyres that are part of the problem. You can heat gun the inner arch if it rubs inside, remove the top outer liner screw if it rubs the outside. I have had to do both running a similar height to you and I’m running 265/40 tyres.
