What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

Had Pedders fit their suspension upgrade package for T6 vans - heavy duty springs and shocks. The camper conversion made the rear drop slightly. The van now sits higher in the rear, is flatter cornering and generally better planted. I thought the ride might be harsh but it’s smoother than the stock set up. Certainly worth it.
Hey mate what that set u back

Tried wrapping the mirror caps in black gloss vinyl. Not going to embarrass myself with a photo. Think I’ll get them sorted by a professional

Took the head unit out to sort out a rattle. Wrapped some cables in cloth tape which I’m hoping will do the trick (not driven it as yet). Also ‘fitted’ some carpet mats to the second row seats and the boot (Kombi).

Fitted a cheap set of roof rails from van style. Will only be used to pick up a few bits from the merchants as I have moved from caravelle to kombi. Got the smoked side repeaters as they were only £10, but that's for another day.

I have removed the scotch lock connector on my drls and fitted both wires directly into the Headlamp connector pin. I have also fitted the power latching latch to my side door and run the wires through to the passenger seat, connecting them next week when the fuse holder has arrived.

I (touch wood) have finally worked out, and resolved the mother of all squeaks from the back seat/bed. It’s been driving me up the wall for months but have always had something else to faff around with. Turns out it was the top hat pins that the seat pivots on— screws were all loose ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

OK, just seen it on eBay but even by VW standards, £9 + delivery for a 2p piece of blue plastic is extracting the urine!

Been sorting out my floor, removed the standard spongy one, stuck sound deadening all over, then plywood with a checker plate rubber over the top. Positioned my wheel chocks for moving my toys about. I'll lift the floor panels back out tomorrow & put prong T nuts into the ply. I can then change from seats to bike transport in a matter of minutes. I've also my old car roof rack that will go in behind the seats to cary the push bikes as well.
Also had a play with the Clarisa App, already had a Bluetooth Dongle, so done some changes & cancelled the subscription

Took it to get the tracking done yesterday, went to collect today, in typical fashion it's not moved! The mini they were working on needed a lot more doing than planned so I'll have to go back tomorrow....
