What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

Not been around for a while, hardly recognise the place, someone has been and applied a skilful lick of paint! Haven’t been completely idle vanwise though, here’s a summary of what I’ve done since last here, though some of this might have been back end of last year.

6.1 rear lights. Very happy with these.

Did the Traction control and Hill Descent mod. While I was at it, labelled my other switches too.

Playing around using Fusion 360 and an Ender 3 Pro I got for xmas. Love doing this and have made all sorts of brackets and enclosures for various van and electronic projects. I use the roof cubby to keep a first aid etc kit, so printed a cover to go on it.

Like many on here with solar, I get a bit obsessed with the performance and stats, but I find connecting the Victron app via bluetooth every time I want a quick look a bit irritating. I tried Victron’s own app running on a Pi, but it doesn’t give much useful information unless all your kit is Victron, and I didn’t like the Fisher Price onscreen design, so I knocked up a unit with an Arduino Mega and screen that gives a no nonsense read out of the stats I want and printed a case to put it in. Attached it behind the B pillar and it gives me exactly what I want to know.

And that's where I'm up to now. No plans to do anything else or go anywhere at the moment, but hopfully there's light at the end of the tunnel.
Hope you're all well and life's been kind to you over the last few months.

welcome back @andys =]

Started taking this to bits - after a year like this I’m changing it to a swamper so got to lose the lows, alloys and front splitter. I’ve got some modular steels, BFG ko2s and a nudge bar on the way

Coded the stop start so that it was working as normal again, then fitted the stop start dongle to the back of the button. Thanks @Loz

Disclaimer, with the exception of the mud flaps none of this was done today.

Took a trip over to Bognor Regis a few weeks ago and Oli’s boys fitted a set of Koni dampers for me. Have to say I was really impressed with Bognor Motors, the waiting room was pretty nice too:

Shortly after that, whilst enjoying my vans new levels of comfort, I picked up this little bugger so a trip to the garage was needed

And then finally, today I fitted a set of mud flaps from customveedubs
