Pmsl you just can’t please some ppl!'sall right I s'pose.
As for a polisher. You can't go far wrong with a DAS-6. It's the pad and polish combo that is the hardest part to get right.
You mention pass and polish, how do you work that out? Is VW paint soft also?'sall right I s'pose.

I reckon it is. On my T5.1 Cali, the previous owner had obviously given the van a re-spray (in a lighter shade of white) and a clear coat. The result was a really “deep” white that polished beautifully. (Unfortunately, when I had to have a ding sorted, the “Candy White” didn’t quite match....but you had to squint to see it!)You mention pass and polish, how do you work that out? Is VW paint soft also?
You’ve been busy! Could you possibly take a close up photo of the bracket the drivers over door handle connects to? I have one to fit and seeing it would really help. CheersStripped my head lining, A and B pillars ready for some Buzzweld and some Fabric dye.

PM’d youYou’ve been busy! Could you possibly take a close up photo of the bracket the drivers over door handle connects to? I have one to fit and seeing it would really help. Cheers
I have not been so productive today, spent most of the day feeding the cable for the rear dashcam through the cupboards into the rear of the van with the plan of using the existing cable rubber thing to route it into the tailgate. Then realised that it wouldn’t fit with the wires that are in there already so had to pull it out again
As I had the tailgate apart though I added some sound proofing and insulation. Take 2 at wiring up the dashcam tomorrow!
I have already done this and there is a couple of things I would say to you. Take your time. The headline dying takes about three day with the drying time.Stripped my head lining, A and B pillars ready for some Buzzweld and some Fabric dye.

Do you think an etch primer before the Buzzweld would help?I have already done this and there is a couple of things I would say to you. Take your time. The headline dying takes about three day with the drying time.
Re the Buzzweld, make aure you scrub up the plastics with wire wool otherwise the Buzzweld comes off way to easy .

I have a load of Scotchbrite, is this good enough ? I’m thinking of using a spray dye on the head lining maybe scratch doctor or simply spray.
Perfect, many thanks
Shaking the can is easier though! Bit like changing a bulb by holding it and rotating the house!I used a dye in a bottle on mine, applied it with a sponge to make sure it got deep into the fabric. Got it from Amazon, see image.
Scotchbrite should do it. One tip my mate who is a sprayer said to me. Shake the van really well to ensure you get the best mist.
