What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

Yep, I was surprised at the difference in weight between the calipers. 9KG for the stock and 3.5kg for the Revo/Alcon. It was so noticeable when picking them up that I had to weigh them out of curiosity.

The Alcons are so light that they wouldn’t even register on the bathroom scales so I had to “borrow” the wife‘s kitchen scales :p

By comparison, the discs are about the same weight. Except, I now have 380mm instead of the weeny 294mm.

Obviously, that 13kg translated into intertia at 70mph would be significant and helps counter the extra weight of my 20” wheels (and larger tyres).

......also helps cancel out the weight gain over the xmas period.....win win

Question was asking where you are taking the wireless charger power feed from. (Remember - you do the legwork, @Texxaco follows you, and then he explains it to me in pictures and small words, coz I’m a bit thick!)
I missed the bit about getting the CarPlay to work remotely, that’s the magic bit, the charger is fitted right over the fuses isn’t it so I’m guessing the power comes from there but wireless CarPlay is witchcraft!

Ahhh sorry my bad... it’s right over the fuse box as @cgtmiles has said. To be honest I was just going to double up with one of those double fuse things.. but instead I tapped off the 12v ciggy lighter with those clamps and just down rated the fuse from 15a to 3a (the lowest I had) as it solely does that socket and I don’t use it.

I’ve already turned the sensitivity to lowest though as motion detection was nearly constant, think I’ll need to turn it off which is a shame. Let’s see how the battery lasts. I also thought it would alert me remotely but I don’t know how I thought this would work

Yay, we celebrate the errors of others and hope that some more wise will pop along to help out!

Been a weird year and not been on here very much at all, work has been crazy and the van has been a bit neglected. However, finally got the last couple of jobs completed. All the grey interior trim now gone and last change was black door cards with chrome door handles. At the same time the puddle light's are in and the final door ambient lighting wired in. Apologies pics not great and you can't see the black trim. Pleased with how the door handle and pockets are subtly lit.

Today, I have been mainly wheelspining my van around Yorkshire in the snow... I can confirm the the ESC does work. Also fitted a Pipercross air filter which will make it breathe easier...or perhaps wreck the MAF definitely feels more spritely though

Lovely pics! Did you use a filter or something? Looks like something out of an expensive magazine
