What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

Heat gun came in very useful although it was still far from easy. To be fair, it’s the first time I have ever done wrapping.

Some ppl will be negative but don’t forget that you learn by your mistakes and we all start somewhere.
Hardly mistakes, in fairness! You did a proper job there.

By the way, did you really use a heat gun or did you actually just “borrow” SWMBO’s hairdryer. After all, you do have form for rummaging in her make-up bag....!

Cheers @JOG I do own a heat gun which made it very much easier and safer for my well-being . If I broke SWMBO hairdryer my life would be over.

Nah screw that, it’s certainly better than it was when I started.

I did look at those then watched a chap on YouTube make it look easy so I thought why not give it a go. It cost me all of £6 and two hours of my time.
Exactly! And if it went wrong, you always had ready-made to fall back on! But, you did give it a go and made a good job of it too

Oh, could you imagine the carnage if you did snaffle her hairdryer and broke it?!! I would be booking a one-way passage on the slow boat to China (Covid or not )

These. Got to finish the screw head inserts as they are too deep so they won’t sit flush.

Installed the Victron 15A mains charger and did a few tweaks so have now finally finished all my lithium install. Back to the reality of work and waiting for more lockdowns tomorrow. Oh well at least I'm ready if we're ever allowed to go camping again.

mounted 175w panel and awning, off for a wee camp next week,
yet to finalise layout in the back (sleeping on the top so mainly seating/eating etc inside) but will chuck the fridge in to keep the food cold for a few days....
Im sure the weather is remarkable over you lots side of the big pond but she's getting into the full swing of Kiwi summer down here....
Off riding tomorow for the day so van work will have to wait until NYE-day :D

There was a point when the words “F&£k It” passed my lips. The wing mirrors were designed to be impossible to remove and wrap. Of that I am certain!
How many clips did you break? :p

Two but they were broken wrestling with the mirror whilst I was wrapping it.
Did you remove the covers to wrap them? Those clips are so freaking fragile....! There must be a “mod” opportunity to strengthen them!!!

I did remove them as I wanted to ensure that the wrap was folded inside the mirror cap.
