What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

Must be the better weather as I got around to swapping the H4s for H7s too. Pretty straightforward except for a couple of the clips, although neither of the videos I watched had front parking sensors so nearly pulled the wire off for those. Amazing how easy it is to get the front off once you pluck up the courage to give it a good hard tug.IMG_20210227_150442_033.jpgIMG_20210227_160039_722.jpg

Been testing colours for our two-tone paint job. Adjusted the MS Craft swivel to clear the higher floor we'll need with cali rails then fitted a loc8 table door card. Getting excited now!

Oil and filter today, after getting van back from stealers for oil leaks and DMF. I do oil every 10K miles on all cars. Old oil came out black. Deal on at TPS for 20 litres+ of the Quantum fully synthetic. They only had one 20l cube in stock, so gave me that and 4 off 5l cubes. Not seen these small ones before. Just over 7l to fill after change. Cayenne next for oil change.....

Fitted Heko wind deflectors.
I presume T6 and T6.1 will be the same fit. Can you tell me which Heko model number you fitted please? Looking on Amazon and I’m finding the different 5-digit model numbers confusing! :/

Noticed that one of the grills on my gloss black grill had a chip in n it. On closer inspection I noticed it was chrome underneath. See pics.
They are not the easiest to get off without breaking the clips, slowly does it and off they came.

I chipped off the paint to find the chrome hadn’t bean etched, no wonder the paint chipped. Anyways prepped with 2000 grit W&D and resprayed. One already fitted. Again see last pic.

You’re doing a nice job the @Texxaco - slow and steady is the way. Are you etch priming first or just using ordinary primer? (Or, W&D and straight to gloss?) It’s great that you’re getting to fix all the nicks too - at least now you know that the job is done properly (and saving money for other toys!)
