What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

I bought one of these;

Glove like. And only £40.

Fits perfectly on my T6 bumper. Looks OEM, very pleased.
Doesn't post to Finland.

I thinks its pot luck, I've had two from RGM, one good and one bad. Both quality controlled by the same person. Here is the last one:-

Mind you I prefer that look to this after Fridays coming together:-

I found that with a little heat from heat gun or hair dryer you can bend it/mold it a little bit. Mine was just probably molded wrong because it just didn't fit even after the mod attempt, it was way beyond that. I applied the heat evenly moved the heat gun fast to prevent any hot spots and me and missus held the protector on the right spot until it cooled. It fitted way better as you can see from the photo, but still not curvy enough to fit like the ugly cover I have.

Swore. A lot. Again.

Recently sheared a rear ARB bolt and today set about removing the remnants and replacing it.

What was meant to be a half hour job turned into 3 hours of cussing and eventually having to drill out the bolt completely, oversize the hole and use a nut/bolt instead.

Joy.

Amen brother!!!

Upside, last time, I completely missed the massive blue bars across the bottom of my van and I actually have H&Rs fitted already!

My A4 top suspension arm pinch bolts are a bugger to get out, If I know I’m going to be replacing an arm I start soaking with penetrating oil every couple of days for 2-3 weeks. Takes 30 sec’s but guarantees they come out straight away.
Lovely stuff I think I might have an issue with the stuff I get through loads ( that and I like to exert minimum effort )

Had night heater installed, rear quarter windows ( fakes ) and rear windows fitted.

Which was great, looks amazing. BUT then........................ money pit started to happen :D While on the ramp when fitting the heater the guy told me about the rear tyres running on the inside.......OUCH, two new tyres being fitted tomorrow, then a hunter alignment being done on Tuesday.

THEN money pit number 2 and me being a t**t..........Following the missus home the railway barriers were stuck down, so she rerouted the sat nav and took us down an old farm track. Stupidly I just followed and smashed off my splitter and lost the toe hook eye cover :( So New splitter and cover ordered and some paint :(

New S+S steels with Falken AT tyres. This is on B14s, quick run out to make sure there are no issues, zero rubbing at low speed and lock or at speed on the bumps and in the twisties. Stopped to recheck the torques and caught the sunset... not planned at all.

Sound deadened the passenger footwell. Ready to fit the new Alpine HD camera over the weekend. Although the A holes who fitted the aftermarket camera soon to have bodged it big time, wiring wise that is.
