New rear quarter opening windows fitted. Front quarter and tailgate windows tinted to match. The Kombi to camper project moves ahead slowly. Skyline Aurora roof ordered taking advantage of the special offer. That’ll likely be spring ‘22 for install. We’re loving the look.

Loaded the old girl up ready for a quick dash in the morning.... ( reading that back, brings back memories of my youth... wink wink..) off to nr Bangor Noth Wales for 8 nights... as its time to try out the diesel heater installed last spring... the only downside is the weather looks a bit pants... but give me that peace and tranquilty and I aint bothered if it pi$$es down .....

That is the first van I have seen with opening windows in the rear, looks great

I spent the day under my van fitting 2 cables in flexible conduit from my leisure battery to 2 Anderson plugs mounted next to my tow ball. A power cable from the battery goes to the black Anderson plug and a solar cable from my mppt controller to the grey Anderson plug.

This is so when we take my trailer traveling on longer trips off grid I can run a fridge for drinks in it so the fridge in the van has food only.

Have fitted a solar panel to the top of the trailer to supplement the fixed panel on the van roof so I can hopefully keep up power to my leisure battery indefinitely when parked for an extended period.

When travelling in remote areas of Australia shops are far and few between so you need to be self sufficient.

If going on shorter trips I dont take the trailer as the van holds enough gear.20211016_173047.jpg20211016_173035.jpg20211007_130315.jpg

Just don’t drive off with it hooked up! How is the socket secured by the wheel when driving?
Yeh won’t work well that lol, it wedges in between spare wheel and frame up out the way made sure the flex is short so even if it somehow drops it won’t be anywhere near the ground
