What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

1. Trial fitted mine and the wife's bike in the van
2. Mine locked in and ready to go
3. Muddy bike after a quick blast

It all worked a treat, no movement whatsoever.
Just awaiting another proper bracket to arrive now so I can put that on for the wife's bike. Then when thats on I can trim and tart up the base board to look a bit better.
Finished off the bike fitting job yesterday and today. Filled and painted the old engineered wood floorboard, then mounted the two axle stands. I fitted them at a slight angle which felt like they gave the bikes a bit more stability. It also meant I could then get the bikes closer together, which in turn gave me more room on the right hand side of the van.

Lovely job that! Well done

Attempted to fit my Kiravans Door Store, but my sliding door has the 'extra' lips that don't allow it to fit so it was a complete waste of time and money.

I thought this was only an issue on the T6.1 but it looks like it affects some late T6 models also.

Best thing is that I have already destroyed the box as I was decorating and needed some cardboard to go under a door I had to paint.

Just my luck...

why not through nearer 90 degrees, so the handle bars are out of the way and the combo is much slimmer?

Because the van ain’t long enough!
both bikes go in fine like that without the faff of removing the single seat, all I do is tilt that. Plus you can’t get them much tighter together without the pedals catching from one bike to the other

fair enough, i thought there'd be more space in the van (lengthways) than that.

Not with my tanking bike, hahaha

Newer mtb’s are longer and slacker which caused the issue for me. We used to be able to fit both our old bikes in a ford kuga mk1 in a similar set up(apart from forks at the front).

At least i have finally had an excuse to go buy a van :grin bounce:

Was going to get one…but that’s a pain to check the oil…but does look nice…I’d need to change the TDI colour :laugh:
I’m sure I read that it may be ok if you have eu6 engine, it’s only a screw and clip to remove but seems more pain than gain when will I learn to leave things alone
