Bonnet bra is back on now as the jury is still out on protecting the bonnet.
Just awaiting a few final trim bits from Travelin lite and deciding on a new front badge (thanks for the info on removing it @Loz and the small line about not removing without damage... New one required then :D) so time to decide whether carbon black, gloss black or original silver?
I'm serious pleased as I've never done this sort of thing before.

Christ that is more of a change than just a bumper swap, there is something even more visually striking than that which has changed, but I can’t quite put my finger on what it is.
Could it be the colour I wonder.......o_O:rofl:

Red is the only colour mate... :D
Gave her a wash and wax too, so the difference is mahoosive. She looks awesome and I'm in :inlove: All over again!
Now I'm a proper Team Red.

Little bit of front end upgrading, brings back fond memories of my Mk1 Golf GTI (so wish I'd kept it...…….) Lots of other stuff that you cant actually see - finished the sound proofing and insulation, took the roof rails off and re fitted using silicone sealant, hopefully stop a minor but annoying leak and started the install of the eton speaker upgrade, just got the tweeters done so far as waiting on some extra silent coat to do the front doors at the same time.

I just realised what you meant @DaveyB as I realised where those two leftover pop rivets came from...
Yes the front-on view was all grey and dull. The bonnet bra matching the lower bumper so the red wasn't too visible from the front. But now she's not an ugly duckling.

Cut out the rear barn door windows today. Put the same amount of mastic as the side windows but that was a bit of a mistake as had some squirt out from underneath. Tried to remove and it went everywhere. Absolute nightmare to remove it. Next job is removing off my hands.

I did quite a bit of head scratching today, the Chinese puzzles found inside Christmas crackers are easier to solve!

Didn't like this one, as the back tyre was tight up against the carpet.

Same but with the forks resting on the opposite side!

Better but still not ideal.

Slight improvement.

Far too tight, had to slam the tailgate.

The seat backs won't last very long like this.

I gave up and started on my son's bike, as it's a couple of inches shorter.

It's a bit agricultural but seems to work fine so will build another support for my bike. Any comments/suggestions will be welcome, as this looks lousy the more I look at it...

That looks great although I would like something I can easily remove if possible...

I'm planning to put Allen bolts in the from so the can be undone easy and the it can just be unbolted and slide out if I need to
