What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

Ambient lighting unit installed, not had much time to work on the van last few weeks - these little beggars have been a struggle as mum didn't have much milk to start off and were getting bottle fed every few hours, all good now and started on solids so I might get more than 4 hours kip at a time from now on.

I cleaned out my garden shed and got my bbq and summer chairs out, this is so I've got somewhere to hide my next set of wheels

Fitted the Vankraft folding double seat bracket. Much better angle on the seat now.

Bought my van as a 'Scene Machine' (20 inch Alloys, side bars and spoilers), as that is was I thought I wanted, just under a year ago. I quickly realised I wanted a bit more of an OEM look though and have basically spent theast 6 months un-modding it! Took the Sportline spoiler off today which was a bit of a final touch.

Still not sure I love the colour coded Startline bumpers and find myself yearning for highline one day. Still, I wouldn't even have known the difference when I bought it (thanks T6 forum...).

Oh, and I finally got rid of a rattle/squeak that seemed to laugh at me every time I closed the sliding or passenger door. It was a loose trim clip in the arch liner. Very satisfying!

Haha! I cleaned out my shed, and picked up a brand new set of Highline wheels and tyres, and stashed them in there as spares! Great minds eh?

Fitted this Van-X plug socket for my EHU

On first glance I thought it was going to pull out every time the plug was removed from the socket, but it actually appears to be a better fit than the cubbyhole was.

For anyone interested in it, it has two sockets (they accidentally sent me one socket and one blanking plate, and sent on the 2nd socket when I informed them) but two UK plugs won’t fit in there side by side - they’d just be too wide. So I’ll probably mount a LED in the blanking plate so I can see that the hook-up connection is live.

That’s a new one on me, never seen that setup before

Nice looking can. Love that colour combo.

We umm’d and ahhh’d about where to have 230v sockets, and decided that as we pretty much never used them before, we’d just keep one up at the front near the CU (passenger seat base) out of the way.

(Cue a new post in six months of me moaning that I need my 230v setup isn’t practical  ).

I was a bit dubious with the quality, but am pleasantly surprised. The customer service was good too.

That's one of the nicest two-tone combinations I've seen, and the steels set the whole thing off, pure class

Hi zombie_t6, newbie here, just wondering how many clips are on the t6 Airbox?
Looking at changing mine in the morning.

Regards.

Sean.

Well I bit the bullet and decided to fit the side windows today. First one was the worst as was nervous as hell. Goes against the grain the cut a big hole in panels. Second one was a doddle as felt confident. Totally transformed it now and it doesn't look like a van no more. Barn doors next week.

Fitted a Kiravans panel to the bottom of my double front swivel, so that the swivel mechanism is hidden, and no small bits can fall down the gaps. Comes with a nice precut carpet too.
