What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

If you’re not using the attached 3m tape there will be some movement … hope not too much it slides
There is no slide when tape is used

I'd love this in my van but my van just had an entire shift assembly fitted after the two side trims fell apart. (This was under warranty)

I wonder if replacing the knob on a 6.1 is in some way different, as otherwise I can't see why they replaced the entire shift assembly if they could have just given me a new knob. (Que @JOG)

Plug and play @Samro - make of that what you will!!!

The one change I had to make was the direction of the spline that the gear lever connects to.

Yours will have a splinewith a groove east to west, I heated mine up and twisted it carefully so that the groove is now face north to south. The the gear lever is a straight fit. The rest is the exact same.

If only I had the old one that they replaced! I don't trust myself!

I have an old one now!
I'm confused with what was involved with this mod? Did you change the complete lever assembly or just the knob? I figured that the bit you had to rotate was to accommodate the shift lock being 90 degrees different on the golf to the t6? Do you have a thread about this "knob mod"? I'm sure it would be very popular! (Que @JOG....again!)
